Tektons

Hi guys, I'm wondering if any of you have tried out Tektons yet? they look like they could be a good way to make both cast and precision trucks grip more, and I'm thinking about getting a set, but I want to know if the flanged races make a difference or they are just marketing patter. I'll likely get a set as my next bearings, but I'm not sure if I'd be better spending more money on a preicsion rear (eventually I want to do both). Basically, which is better bang for buck, tektons or 8mm axles? If someone could post a review that would be great.
