What are your racing priorities?

I would go to a Major or Main far away and not attend a Prime or Basic closer to home.

I would always supports grassroots racing close to home and consider majors and mains farther away as secondary.

I would go to a Basic far away and not attend a Major/Main/Prime closer to home if there was a nice prize ($) purse.

Racing Preference Poll "A"

Post by Wesley Tucker » Thu Dec 01, 2005 3:02 pm

Time for some polls. Just click on what relates to you. I need multiple topics because PhP won't allow you to choose more than one in each poll. Be sure to vote in both polls. Let's see what people are thinking.

I think that depends on your personal situtaion. I have a family as most of us have and can not stay away from home all the weekends of the year, therefore I like the oneday events close to home. I am lucky and will have 5 of them within 3 hours from home next year. I don´t care what status they have.

Maybe add....

I would go to a Basic far away and not attend a Major/Main/Prime closer to home if there was a nice prize ($) purse.

Well, I already had my vote - can't change anymore...

Whatever...

For me it depends on many different other factors like location, people, distance (far away, further away, close to me...) school/holyday....

rmn
Feel the flow – Airflow Skateboards

Real skateboard wheels come in green – ABEC11

Enjoy the ride – GOG Slalom & DH Trucks

Funny, I don't feel I can stand for any of the options in the two polls. It depends on many things.

Factors for me:
- WR status (i.e. I know most of all the top slalomers are there, important race)
- Nice place (nice hill, nice environment)
- Good organisation
- Close by
- Cheap/easy travel (I.e. my economy)
- Dates that work out well with family. I.e. not too many travels/season. Not too close together

It's kind of an open ended question....does close to home mean i can do it without staying overnight?.....are the races on the same day?......I may travel to a MAIN before going to a LOCAL that's near home to get more experience, or as Hans and Ramon said, if the hill is better....The points themselves arent as important as the venue and friends...

Damn Chris, at the risk of sounding like I am trying to get an honorary membership in Kill City Racing (I do have a shirt!) I agree with you again!

I am planning my racing trips for 2006 based on the group of people that are going to be there (you know I am all about the stoke), the quality of the venue(s) (I can't go through them tight cones fast but I can go down big hills fast!), and how cool the location is.

I am also working on incorporating some of my 2006 racing into family trips so I will be looking for races that are in locations that would appeal to my wife and daughters as well.

I brought them to the Dixie Cup...oh...oh...yeah...we live here.......nevermind.

hey Marion.....Kill City is basically a non-team....kinda like the X-men....so just by NOT being a member automatically would make you a member.

Good input you've had on the rankings thread

Hey Marion,

You could get your youngest daughter to go to any contest with you.....

Just tell her that Ethan is going to be there.....
