La Costa Boys Racing is holding an outlaw Giant Slalom at the legendary Pump Station. This event will be Sunday, April 15, and proceeds will help us to fund the 2007 LCB San Diego Open. Entry fee is $20...50% will go to the winners and 50% will be used to help pay the bills that are required to put on a world class race like the 2007 Open. B group Practice runs will start at 8:30 and racing will start at 9:00. A group practice wil start at 11:00 and racing will start at 12:00 noon, so there's plenty of time for you late sleepers and for those who have to drive from the LA area! Expect a big, fast GS...DUH, this is LCB! Look for more info on the contest calender soon.

It looks like it's going to be windy, but clear! Bring your glasses. Bennett kicked in $300.00 to the purse!

MORE INFO is here. See you Sunday!

I skated Pump Station last night with Chris Y. and Lynn. The drive on I-15 was super windy, but it was calm on the hill. That hill is pretty well sheltered, being in a little valley and under the freeway, and there was barely any wind...should be killer!
SEE YOU SUNDAY!

Kevin,

I saw the Lacostaboysracing.com website. Looks good.

How com LCB doesn't support SS.com? :-)

I'm assuming Yandall did it. Let him know we're here.

Wes- I just checked it out...Chris Yandall must have done it in the last couple of days. What do you mean by "support SS.com"?

See there in the middle where it say, "WE SUPPORT" with logos for NCDSA and Silverfish?

Hey LCD Crew,

I'm coming down for the race. Would you happen to know the names of any of the hotels/motels at the top of the hill?

Thanks,
Jack

As one would rightly expect, the La Costa Boys event went off great. Sure, there was some wind and a few sprinkles of rain, but the sun prevailed and so did Carrasco and Leach! If you want to see some photos, there are about 500 of them over on Silverfish. We'll have a race report on Wednesday, too.

Cat brings her A Game, that's for sure! Great skating by all and, as an extra bonus from Kevin Dunn, he's transmitted results to ISSA for rankings points! Very cool.
