the "the right" footstance..

Hi everybody:
Im riding the jani model since 1 year ago (Airflow OS, RTX, 11*front wedge with avalons) and im still feeling a little bit "unstable" - or should i say insecure- with my footstance and the riding position.
I bought it in Roll Laden a few years ago directly from Chris, and i noticed that he used to ride his board (fox model) standing straightfoward instead the "classic" surfer stance.
There is a special way o riding the S camber model?
and
Which set up works better with this board? any tips?
thank u very much.
