Latest Info - AXE Series Racing Decks & AXE Army Legions

About the AXE Series:
Since the release of our original AXE I in 2004 -- we have designed and released the AXE II and III in response to popular demand. All three decks are made from wood and built stiff for performance and control while manuevering through cones. Each deck in the series is pressed from our SK8KINGS AXE mold made specifically to produce the perfect concave and molded tail foot wedge needed for racing. Each one is sized to perform for the different needs of the three main slalom disciplines - tight, hybrid and giant slalom.

The AXE I is the tight slalom machine -- the first all wood molded concave board in the modern era of slalom racing. The AXE II is highly versatile with slightly larger dimensions and a dual wheelbase to switch gears between tighter to looser set courses. The AXE III is the big daddy of the bunch with even greater dimensions than the II and larger dual wheelbase choices -- perfect for giant and super g slalom courses. With these three boards in your quiver -- you'll be set for anything. Beginners are especially encouraged to order a complete -- to get the benefit of our expert assembly based on the race proven know how of our AXE Army General Richy "Brown Bomber" Carrasco.

As a two-time National Tight Slalom Champion and one of the top ranked pro racers in the world, Richy Carrasco rides the AXE series decks exclusively. The AXE has taken other pro level racers to the podium such as Chris Barker (Colorado) and Marcus Seyfarrth (Sweden) and is the choice of Lynn Kramer who has four Women's World Championship titles to her credit. Open level racers are quickly moving up the ranks riding their AXE decks -- such as Brad Jackman, Art Pryde, Marty Schaub, Tim Kienitz, Marion Karr and Ron Olson just to name a few . . .

The AXE Series is making a distinct mark in slalom racing on many levels. The series is opening doors to new riders by removing the obstacle of proper equipment selection and allowing them to advance quicker and easier. The affordable price of these decks and completes make it easier to have a complete racing quiver without breaking the bank. Also every AXE rider becomes part of the AXE Army -- a worldwide collective of racers lead by Richy and the rest of the SK8KINGS team racers. The AXE Army looks out for each other and can always be called on at races for advice and tips.

Update

Yes -- we are very excited to be working together with Pavel to make a foamcore version of our AXE Series decks. The foam decks are an addition to the line -- offering more options to suit the different tastes of our customers. We are stoked to offer the new additions and have every confidence in the quality "German engineering" coming from the Pavel workshop. Thank you again to master craftsman Donald Campbell for producing these decks precisely to our AXE series mold, shapes and dimensions.

As with all our AXE decks -- the foamcore version will come from SK8KINGS with proper wedging and mounting hardware so they will be ready to perform at peak level. First wave of AXE II's will hit in the next week or so and our store will be updated next week to start taking pre-orders. If anyone would like to be added to the waiting list -- please e-mail me. You can also check for further updates here: http://www.sk8kings.com/new/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=377

Our original wood version of the AXE I, II, & III are very much alive and well so not to worry. We are as committed as always to having this affordable line of performace equipment and are 100% behind keeping that a reality. GO AXE ARMY!!
