Lenny,
I'm kinda like you, in that I like to see what's up before I buy. I'm glad you like your AXE II. Isn't it an awesome platform to keep your feet "locked in" and help you rip it up through courses?
I'm sure with many product improvements, in the US, Richy took a little "heat" for his production and usage of the AXE I deck, but over the past year or so the "heat" has been on other manufacturers around the globe to catch up to the AXE design.
Lenny, have fun riding and getting better at slalom this year and maybe we'll cross paths.
Remember things get better "After the Thaw"
Pat, thanks for postin' the picture of your new gear. Whether your 14 or 40 there's nothing like seeing NEW skate gear....especially the wheels.....How about those profit margins wheel mfg. must have made in the 70's!!!

Re: Your first AXE
I'm glad to know I'm in good company! I was and am still blown away by my Axe II. I saw them on the hill for a long while before I got one of my very own at the Dixie Cup and it's a GREAT cue.Art Pryde wrote: Looks like alot of people are riding their AXE's with Splitfires these days.
It's going to be an awesome Spring!!

Your first AXE
Alright Pat! Glad to hear you made a great choice with the AXE II. I ran one at last year's Hood GS (21"wb) and it felt great and some racers rode theirs on the fast slalom course the next day. Looks like alot of people are riding their AXE's with Splitfires these days.

Yep, 1st Axe for me. I rode John Stryker's Axe at WSU a couple weeks ago and I really liked it. My other slalom deck is set up for very tight slalom, so this one will be for a bit more open courses.Malcolm Stooke wrote:niccceee... is this your first axe?

Just received Axe II, Zig-Zag wheels, griptape, bushings, wedges, Tracker trucks.
I think I'll use the trackers on another board and put my Splitfire trucks on this one.
Grip tape is not applied yet because I want some footblock wedge action underneath ...
