Maria,

To change the subject:

Any update on the availability of PPS Racer X Pre-Coned wheels?

PPS wheels and more . . .

Post by Maria Carrasco » Fri Nov 21, 2008 1:32 am

Hi Wesley -- Well, lets see ....

They just came through the door and are going back out again to those who have pre-ordered. :) I ordered a bunch and they are going quick.

Also getting the new Venom bushings in tomorrow and will be filling those pre-orders too.

Lots of new goodies in the house.

More exciting AXE news coming up too . . . watch for special sale announcements soon.

I gotta come to California soon just so I can see Chicken and ask, "what took SO LONG?" :-)

By my calculations it's around ELEVEN MONTHS between announcing and delivering.

Thanks for the update, Maria. If batch #2 shows up before Christmas, I might grab some to play with this winter.

PPS Pre-coned wheels

Post by Art Pryde » Mon Nov 24, 2008 10:07 am

Wesley,
I'm sure if it was completely up to Chicken, his wheels would have been available the same day that they were announced. Let's just be glad that they are hitting the streets now, and that AXE III "Extra" looks pretty cool.

I think we are d@#$ lucky to have any of this stuff at all...given the HUGE market for slalom gear. It's like some sort of weird miracle.

If you REALLY need pre-coned wheels and can't get 'em anywhere you can always hire Mig!!

Delays suck but that's life . . .

It's always a challenge for us manufacturers to bring new things to market. Lots of circumstances -- many out of our control -- that influence and challenge the timing of finished products. In the case of these PPS wheels -- new tooling was surely involved. One of those times when actually "re-inventing the wheel" did have to take place. No small feat any way you slice it. ;)

Either way, we're stoked to be offering yet another excellent equipment option to our customers. Wes -- I still have sets of the CC wheels in house and another order in place for the holiday season too.

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Off Topic....I didn't mean to come off bitter or nasty I am very happy that there is product available and my wheels arrived as I wrote that, thank you very much Maria for your amazingly fast shipping.
They are a nice deep blue, same tone as a Manx orange as compared to a Reflex orange when you look at the pick which are the same light tone the Reflex oranges the Cone Crushers are a nice deep blue...does that make sense?
turns are fun....
