bottom washers

Wes,
It's a good idea to use a washer down at the bottom if you want the rear steering to be a little more "dead". By eliminating the washer, I find it's a bit more resilient. But not everyone likes a resilient back end (OK, no pun intended). I do not use a washer on the bottom of the front truck either.
I like Ramon's washer idea. No overhang, but a little more base support than no washer.

i love my splitfire rear (107 first gen w/ orion baseplate). the traction is amazing compared to trackers and rads(dragon tail). I have mine dialed in at -5° with lathed radikal bushings (black/green) and flat washern top and large washer on bottom.

Yup...nice, But you betta get sum mo' threads in those lock nuts on the mounting hdwre!!!

but those arent reguler mounting nuts, the nut is at least half nylon lock nut, so im good..........haha canadian tire

hate to burst your bubble luke, but you don't OWN or regularly use a radikal tail (and neither do I), so you can't really offer opinion as to whether or not you prefer it to a splitfire.
