PAVEL RULES !

Post by Carsten Pingel » Fri May 12, 2006 9:08 am

My new PAVEL GS is killer !

Donald did (again!) a good job !

- nice shaped foamcore,.... no wheelbites anymore !
- perfect shaped outline
- perfect concave (deeeeeep concave!)
- wheelbases for GS , and even for some Hybrid / Special

In combination with a modified 8mm RT-X , RT-S Offset and Zig Zags, its a weapon ! :-)

stay tune for some pics of the board !

pavel rules-period.

it's really more than satisfying to see folks getting hooked on a board and performing better than they ever did before.i know the saying"it's not the board,it's the rider",but sometimes this saying doesn't apply to facts you can witness on a spreadsheet with results given by a timer.carsten just had this experience that a good board can change things to the better.
kathrin, our newest addition to the team also looks and is faster than before.she adapted pretty good to the gunner-vince's world champ deck-and the rocka.

so-all in all-the extreme r&d thing from last year pays out big time.
what's better than money?
the grin on the customer's face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Claude Regnier » Mon May 15, 2006 2:47 pm

Kind of the same feeling I get from Coaching!

Well we'll have to see about that, EH!
t's really more than satisfying to see folks getting hooked on a board and performing better than they ever did before.
At least this time I will have time to test your offer to try some of your boards.
Many Happy Pumps!

More important than physics, konzentration, coordination and motoric is simply:

"Fun" - ever experienced some of that?

yes, i rode the first sentence.

yes, i rode the other sentences too.

I saw Paulo Gatti racing on Sunday in Italy with his 20 year's old board and he was fast.

my resume:

it's not the board, it's training the skills i wrote before.

It depands what you understand under the word "FUN" ?

I think i had Fun last Sunday... When i read your Post than it's funny too...

I drink
I smoke
I skate
I like my new PAVEL

Thats the only thing I wanted to show with my above mentioned post !

Do you know the mid 60year old guys riding in a Porsche or Ferrari which you can find every were on the world ? Most of them have a lack of
physics, konzentration, coordination and even motoric problems.

But eh...they are fast !!!!! :-)

btw, here it is !

The alpine weed is to come down and relax before the start...

I like it how you guy's love your boards !

but in the end it is physics, concentration, coordination and motoric.

Manuel Frei is going to Paris. His board is nothing special, a bit wood and a bit cork.
He started skating last year. This year he will ride pro.

I bet he will be before any team rider of Pavel in special slalom and tight slalom in Paris, even when Vinze has an advantage, because of the spot.

Who is in the Team ?

Paul
Vince
Mike
Steve

are there more Pro Rider's ?

my commitment is 100 Euro for your Team. If he is in front of your Pro rider's than we (team Grueningen (Manuel Frei, Fabian Koula and me)) want to start for Free in Brixlegg ?

Is this a deal ?

This guy is skating now the second season. But he is in shape.

Deal or no Deal ?

8 Hart Chris (SUI) 15.136
9 Eggers Chris (GER) 15.223

Just for information (and sorry for this digression, but) I'm hurted for more than 5 months now because of a bad fall on the hip/top of the leg
it was Ok at the beginning, I could go to the first GOG even if I feel something a bit strange. After it went worse and for months my only real skateboards sessions were the Pirate Slalom races because as organizer I got to be there.
It has been long to find a doctor that could do something, but I finally had some regular injections to heal the lesion and they really help.
But to heal I had to be calm and the only real training I had these last months was last sunday with flat tight session (I'm still broken after that!!!).
I really didn't skate much the trocadero neither except for our Pirate races (ie! organizer race runs=not much runs)
add to that that I even hadn't time to skate because the organisation of the event is really time consuming as you know!

So I will race for fun (as usual) so please don't bother me too much with this kind of bet. Especially in Paris where my first aim with the Riderz team is to welcome all of you.

BACK TO SUBJECT:
And you're right of course the board doesn't make everything.
but a board can make you feel more confident, and if you feel good on it, you'll be faster!
So it's what Donald give us: boards that make you feel good on it!
but nobody said that one cannot feel good on an old piece of wood
;)

jadranko

no deal

no interest

just laughing

now get the hell out of my forum and spam around somewhere else
the pavel section is absolutely no platform for your kinda show.
one more useful hint:

when you call people out, please make sure you back it up yourself, don't involve other
folks into it.

my team has absolutley nothing to prove, maybe you have the need to do so,but please
feel free to do it somewhere else.

we all enjoy skateboarding so much and don't really concentrate on all the stuff you mentioned, whatever comes,it comes naturally.
i myself don't know that much people who share your orientation/interpretation of slalom/skateboarding in general.

maybe you should do yourself a favor and change a few things in your life,it might help.

in fact i don't think that you are even a real skateboarder, which is funny and sad at the same moment.

you missed the best part of the whole deal:HAVING FUN

i am very sure that you will object to anything i said, which also is absolutely ok for a guy your age,but maybe, one day,you will understand what i meant in my post.hopefully you won't be too old by then.

i wish you all the best and get well soon too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please be so kind to reread the first sentence in this post and behave as i told you

thank you so much

yes it was written very sarcastically, but since this is my own piece of this forum,i do think that i have the right to tell people what i don't accept.
jadranko has been spamming on this topic from his first post on,thus bumming me and quite a few others of the team who thought the same.
one of my customers is reflecting on his board, which is in case a very big compliment, and the next thing that happens is that a certain person feels eligible to tell everybody reading this that certain aspects(his own personal view) are way more important than what the customer had to say about the board.
as a matter of fact the aforementioned person continues to do so on the next few posts again.

jadranko even admits that he was spamming, which is sad enough and gets away with doing so.

on the contrary i get the warning of being banned from the forum, since i was really pissed off from everything jadranko wrote.

jani,ok...

i got your message

maybe you should tell jadranko the same, since he has been provocating since post#1.

think about it to make it look fair to both sides.

jadranko:your stuff won't be deleted,i made this mistake once and found out that it was not to the liking of anyone, but if you want to continue with this stuff, move it out of here, you already managed to destroy this thread.

ramon:
yes we have different views to it all,i gave my version,i stand for what i said, anything else would be a lie.

you will see it as a sad statement, maybe, maybe you also understand it,since i know you a bit and i know your view of skateboarding in general

This Forum isn't on your website. I didn't reply on your customers post. I replied on your post. The way how you tell people what you don't accept goes only to personal attack's, nothing else.

your statement:

Yeah, thank you Ramon, I was about to say that.
One one point it is funny to see you guys behaving like that, but it is really getting boring now....

Maybe you guys should open up a new Topic where you can play "Ping Pong" all day, where you can discuss thinks quickly to the pointless.

"The Jelious-Rat" against "The fat Duck" Topic....

Seriously, I can´t believe that you to guys keep on and on doing this, like nothing else would matter.
I believe that once you guys stop throwing shit on eachother you realise that you both stink, but on the other hand there might be some parts which are still ok, and even could share your thoughts and start learn from eachother.

Now, shame on you Buzzcocks!!!!

See you in Hannover, hopefully cleaned up ;)

Wow, you guys can argue just as bad as Americans. ;-) (Note: I'm not referring to Ramon's post directly above; I mean some of the previous ones.)

Is it the board or the rider? It's both. Overall, I think it's more the rider and how much s/he practices that matters (advantage: Jadranko), but a good board can make a difference (advantage: Donald). I rode a homemade birch plank for GS at several races in 2005 and wished I had something lighter. That board made it very difficult to get up to speed at the beginning of the course. I've since gotten a lighter board, and it seems to make it easier to go faster.

Donald, your boards are looking very good overall. It seems like each one is even cooler than the last. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it.
