a bigger part of those decks is meant for the american market,so it won't be too difficult to get a hold of one of those.

what is technogroove?

i heard this question quite often the last few weeks.please check the pic below to see the bottom of a pavel prototype:
Image

flip came up with that a few years ago for street skating.the wood is laminated and pressed
in a special way thus hardening the surface and structure of the wood/skateboard.
this invention was very popular among people who skated rails.the boards wouldn't break that easy and they lasted a bit longer than the average board.

we got that technology as an exclusive for the bottom of our boards which are made at abc boards in costa mesa.

the finalized versions will be available for paris and for the usa a week later.

I just skated all the prototypes and set them up with GOG trucks so that I really can feel what they are like. The boards are very good and when Don is saying they will cost at the shops about 79€ with a killer multi color design on top and bottom, wheels wells and so on then I can say perfect for all of you. I don't want to nag or anything, but I chose the wood GOG as a present to my brother on his birthday and it was going to be available in time. I ordered it a while back and his birthday came and passed (26th). Can you guys give me any current estimate on the deck? I would like to know so I can give my brother info.

Thanks

Toby you will be the first one who get's the decks. Hopefully they will be in Germany at the end of this week. I'm waiting on a date from the cargo company because the decks come together with some stuff for me to save some shipping costs.

Sorry but in the US they work a bit different than here in Europe...

They have arrived.... $65 plus shipping
I have both the GOG and the Texas Outlaw for sale....

PM or Email to Jimwax@mac for details

these boards are sick!!!
the TechnoGroove laminates make these super stiff and durable.....and its under the board where it was designed to be, so youi will be able to get full traction from the grip tape on top
Big Concave and tails....

technogroove history lesson for all:
technogroove aka new wave(ps stix did the flip boards with that bottom treatment)is made to strengthen the bottom layers of the board by compressing the wood during the lamination process.that's the only region in a board where this process makes sense.
the basic idea a few years ago was to make streetboards more durable and slideable.this idea faded away from the market but it was a good one nevertheless.jim gray bought that technology from paul schmitt and uses it exclusively for his acme brand.pavel uses the technogroove exclusively for their line of raceboards as a bottom treatment also.
that's exactly why you won't see it on any other brands bottom.
concave lesson for all:
we have a very deep concave, deeper than the other brands on the market.we also made sure that the raise of concave from the middle to the sidewalls is round and not edgy.which means that you have a "rolling" feeling under your feet when you lean into a turn.unlike a few other brands on the market we have a concave that goes to the tail and stops where the tail starts.with that extra concave the boards are very "pump-friendly" to say so.
compare to other brands and you will see the difference.
please take your time to try those boards out and contact our friends nearest to where you live:

Over on NCDSA, I believe Chicken misunderstood my noting the new construction of Pavel's boards with the (formerly) Schmitt Technogroove (thanks for posting that namebrand, Donald) wood. It is pretty unique, and using this on the top, with other high-tech materials, is where I believe Pavel is first-to-produce in Slalom boards. I hope this clarifies my intent. If it dosen't, well, Donald is still making boards that are to be reckoned with...

Just got ahold of a Texas Outlaws deck.

Haven't had time to do more than set it up, but it looks and feels killer:

Thanks Don and WAX!
