The new GS hill

Post by miKe M » Fri Aug 26, 2005 6:57 pm

YEEEAAAAHHHHH!
that hill is gnarly! i love it! i'm really excited to skate that hill more. i hope everybody had a good time last night, becuase i had a great time! billy- your stoke fuels us all. Trish- you made a lot of improvement last night. it was cool to see you finally get through the course. martin- always on and impressive. kevin- your compeditiveness is inspiring.

anyway, way stoked on last night, and i can't wait to skate more on that hill. i think the outlaw race on that hill will be awesome! we should plan it right and maybe have a couple of different events- one that everybody can feel confident on and a gnarly GS or something. make it a whole sunday morning thing...

kevin- thanks for making the copy of that DVD. i'll bring a 6 pack or something for your efforts, becuase they were much appreciated. it was weird watching our courses on the flats after last night...

We've raised the bar, and everybody made the transition well. i'm stoked and everybody else should be too!!!!

Killer hill - Good times!

Post by Martin Drayton » Sat Aug 27, 2005 9:14 pm

Did that hill rock or what! And I reckon if there are only Realtor signs there we've probably got a couple of years use out of it potentially. I was really proud of how far you guys have come in such a rediculously short time.

Who's bringing the push broom next week? How about scaring ourselves with a Tight course on there?
From the 5th Sept, I may skate another evening (anywhere) as well, to tune up for Morro...Let me know if anyone is up for that...I won't finish til about 6.30/7pm, so I can get in an hour and a half maybe...
I need to practice some 50+ cone courses and some super-tight just in case.

Chris P. let me know if you want my old Avalons, Bordy is hassling me for them...But you were first! Still have the Stim?

Hey Mike, the girlfriend go all gooey when she saw you on TV?

Martin, I got your stims (all two of them), I can mail them up to you if you don't want to wait until next Thursday.

About the trimmed Avalons, I'd still like them but I found some used Manx wheels which are currently living on my sparkling new slalom machine. Go ahead and give 'em to Bordy, I won't cry too much. I'd eventually like to try trimmed avalons and get off of the Manx, however.

team Utah

Post by trish erickson » Thu Sep 01, 2005 1:52 am

Hey Team Utah!

Thanks Mike for the support, And Thanks to everyone for the words of support. I loved that feeling when I finally got through that course. Billy and I have since sessioned and he has really helped me figure out this setting up the turn thing. That and having the confidence to ride fast on a steeper hill. The parking lot thing will never be as satisfying again. I agree with Billy.....Lets race! But only if we have gong prizes for last place! Hey Kevin, can you make another copy of that interview from a copied DVD? I want one to send to my brother but the TV station wants to charge another 15 bucks. Let me know. You guys have a great session tomarow. Ride fast and hard! oh ya, thats a given!

Ride On

Thanks Chris,
Don't be too handy on the old computer or you might find all sorts of jobs coming your way ;) .

By the way, I found that Seismic 110 still on the header card...Do you want me to bring it on Thursday?

That seismic is an older composite, right? Do have any idea if they can be run in the newer baseplates? My grand idea was to run a 30 degree flat in the rear. Any idea what the spring strength is?

Can't answer your baseplate question...Try Dan Gesmer. As for the springs, they are yellow...
