2011 Utah

Hey all...just barely starting to slalom. Long history of riding before now (dh, free-ride, dancing, commuting). Anyways, where is everybody riding? Anybody looking to "knock down some cones"-as I've seen it put elsewhere on the site-?

I also humbly submit that people put their UT sessions and events on here so we can keep track of it.

Things will pick up a little more next month after the snow season dies down.

That being said I'd be up for an evening session, or possibly a weekend session.

I usually ride in the far south-western area of the Salt Lake valley, but many of my spots have been ruined due to new construction, so I'm open to new venues if anyone knows of any.....

Thinking about a session this Saturday (Weather permitting...)

Anyone found any new cone-dodging spots?

Hey Curt
I'd love to get there but I'm working week ends right now. If you ever can get this way Kevin and I have a killer spot. I just went and hit it yesterday. I'm feelin fast and back in control after my injury last summer. Plus I have some new toys to play with.
Can't wait to see you guys.

I skated with Kevin the other day and we got talking about making a trip down your way.
So we need to make a plan to get the UPC crew together. I've got new toys for this season
and my leg is feeling much better so I'm stoked to sk8. Kevin invested ina Go Cam and wants to put together a vidio.
By the way Curt nice start ramp.
We'll see you soon
Let's plan a play date.

Anyone interested in trying a slalom session on the Squaw Peak road in Provo Canyon?

Some of the UT DH crew are planning on hitting the road tomorrow (Some of whom are also interested in slalom.) Sounds like the gate is still closed, so we could hike up a ways from the gate and set cones...

Looks good, is that Herriman?

Sitting here watching another 4" of snow fall.... dammit. Paul Price just called me, snowed in at Snowbird!
On the good news front, I should have a new toy soon winging its way from the UK...a clue? Might have a lizard in the name... ;-)

Right on Martin
New toys are cool. I invested in some new toys myself.
And have been out 5 times this season.
So ha ha.
I need to ask my mommy if I can come to you house for a play date, so we can
share our new toys.
See Ya Soooooon.
Bob.

That's in South Jordan (near Herriman.) It's a little park where I've never seen anyone actually drive on that road. We shouldn't have a problem throwing a bunch of cones on it, as it's not a well traveled area.

We need to take about 200 cones up to Squaw peak while it's still closed and set up a super-super-superGS...

Saturday was a success - had too much fun skating GS to take any photos.

We decided to try a session on Sunday also, and the rain Gods gave us a window of a couple of hours:

Thanks to all the skaters that showed up for a great session Sunday.
Martin and Paul set great courses and showed us the fastest most stylish way to get through them.
Skully built a sweet modular starting ramp, and hooked us up with a skaterbuilt deck, some steps for our starting ramp, and a couple of his home made hangers shims.
Special thanks to Nick for keeping us hydrated, I would have dried up and blown away w/o you.
Trish was ripping, and the slide/ downhill possee was in effect.
We even had a snowboard hall of famer make the scene ( nice to meet you Chris) !
Can't wait to do it again !!
Later skaters .
Kevin
