Team Fatboy will be represented by the illustrious Sensei Rob and Yellow Fever Ty this weekend in Ohio. They are under explicit instructions to "go for pie"! But type or flavor of said pie was not specified ;)

Godspeed boys!

..........can you smell what Fatboy's cookin'?

Sooooo..........

What do I get for coming in dead last? ;)

The race was unbelievable. There's plenty about it on all the other various websites so I won't bother to type it out here, but I'm still stoked from it. I'm full on addicted to this slalom thang now, and can't wait to make more races.

I'd like to congratulate all three Team Fatboy members: Rob, Tyler, and Ant'ny for not only finishing AND posting times, but for not having any charges stick! ;)

Yes, it helped BIGTIME. I would've been freaking out if we didn't have that session, but thanks to your help Joe, I knew to look for where to keep it slow, and where to pump for speed.

Unfortunitly, I think I kept it a bit too slow ;)

Thanks for the props Fats. For future refrence, I prefer a Lemon Merage (sp?) in the warmer months and Pumpkin in the Fall/Winter. It is now my new goal in life to one day earn a pie.

......And people say I lack ambition.........;)

Bob,

You survived your first race and got a time. There are many that can not say as much. I just coneheaded my first race, didn't have the guts.

Now you just need to nut up and go a little faster. My first step towards this was buying hip pads. :-)

HAHAHAHA-the first thing I looked up when I got home were those Dead Dog skate shorts with the hip pads! :-) I plan on getting those and a full face for the really fast hills.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys. My goal for this week is to find a faster hill to practice on. I got a few leads, and just might go and search them out tonight.

The problem is finding a fast hill you can put cones on. Until you find that, just find a hill and ride your board around imaginary cones. Don't straight bomb it and if its a big hill don't start from the top the first time.

Right now getting accustomed to speed is paramount. It will help your brain from freaking out and telling you that you are going to die.

What if there was no head wind in Ohio?

Joe

Search ebay. Here is a set for Junior

Thanks Joe. That's a good suggestion. We know of plenty of hills around here, just not many that we can set cones on.

I'll pass that link on to Junior too, he was looking into those shorts as well.

Thanks Bara! And thanks again for running everything at the race.

We won't be making the TS in May, will be going to the Needham race in Boston, its only 3 hours from us and is part of The Farm series.

But were coming back for the big one in June for sure!
