Randal bushings

Mike, I've post craploads on making Randals better on ncdsa, but here's what might work for ya..
Get kingpins that're 1/4" longer, mount them with the bolt head in the baseplate. Tap in with a soft mallet if needed. Kingkins inverted like this, there's far less side-to-side slop, plus bushing changes are far easier.
Bottom bushings might not need a baseplate washer. This is really true with Stims, so you can get deeper turns with rebound and some stability with this set-up. Alternate bushings would be conically trimmed Radikals (be sure to 'notch' the top to fit to the hanger, or they'll seat the hanger off-center after hard turns), Softer bottom-barrel DohDohs or Khiros, or, IF you can source them, Rollerskate Sunset bushings ("Dance", med or soft).
Top bushings, use taller conicals if you want a lighter feel. Bottom Bones, Botton Randal Softs, or the taller conical Bitch/Khiros do well. Use a thin 10mm or 12mm stainless flatwasher, or the thin/smooth top washers found on Grindking trucks. If you want more cush, go with soft Barrel bushings such as Khiro or Tracker bottom bushings. Just don't fit a fat flatwasher or one that's too big in diameter. A slightly smaller top washer will let the top bushing flex more, giving a deeper turn.
Lastly, change out the pivot cups for harder ones. There's a good deal of resistance in the sticky-soft stock pivot cups. Tracker White Gnarly pivot cups (silvers if you can find them!) or Z-Roller pivots are noticeably more nimble feeling.
I'll leave the wedge set-up to your experiential prowess...

I picked up a pair of Randall 150's for my Fatty and I can't seem to get the correct bushing combination. Gotta be able to turn well right? Can anyone who has some experience with these give me a clue cause I ain't got one.

Gary, beautiful board. Looks like you gotta ride it soon or just hang it on the wall.

I agree with ya Mike. Here's one Fatty built for me a while back. I asked for the Sims Taperkick I could never afford as a kid (or now) and he built one for me.

Joe, my wife asked me what I was laughing about (shortly after I read your post) so I tried to explain your post and she asked me "how old is he?" Classic Iacovelli.
I called Joe today to ask him a question and he said " hurry up i'm in Amsterdam and this call costs $1.50 per minute".....I owe you a beer Joe.
