hey fatboy,
a BIG thanks to you for the board i won at dixie! It is officially my favorite and most awesome looking longboard! It was great racing with you and everyone else. Watching you race makes me wonder if wearing a kilt would help me go faster? hmm I wonder?? But all in all a great weekend and thanks again for putting up such awesome prizes! Keep up the great work!
Justin

Dude - you are a fuckin' CLASS ACT!!!! Thanks so much for the post, you have NO idea how cool this is!!

We give away dozens of decks every year for contests and we only hear back about 20% of the time from deck winners. The fact that you did REALLY makes us all very happy!

Oh, and according to Joe I, "imagine how much faster you woulda gone if you weren't wearing that dress/parachute" so I think you'd be wise to stick to your current racing outfit!

Big congrats on BRINGIN' IT to Dixie! I still remember that awesome crash you had at The Farm a few years back - you've come a LONG way!
Evil Potentate
Team Fatboy - all hopped up on goofballs!

Still douchebags, but CLASSY douchebags ;)

Justin!

Remember what I told you the first time I met you?

Congrats on the great showing. You won practically everything. Way better than last years D class win (which I'm still protesting). I guess your plan to kill and eat Duquette really worked out for you.

Joe

your welcome

Post by justin collins » Tue Nov 13, 2007 5:48 am

Ron,
you're very welcome. I know what it takes to make the type of decks that Fatboy (and everyone else does) because not only am i a carpenter by trade, (particularly high end custom cabinetry) but i used to make my own boards as well. And i'll be making my own foamies by the end of this winter too! So the fact that you guys and many other sponsors give away gear thats not simply "pressed out" is pretty awesome.

I think i will stick to my current racing outfits though, but i did take it into consideration!

I'm also trying not to fall so much these days, but so far i have yet to NOT fall at any slalom event i go to. The Farm, ate shitl. Dixie, crazy knee slide. Ohio, fall. Colorado, ate shit again. World's, fell. Dixie, fell again!! WTF I guess it's the vert/pool/park skater in me to knee slide as second nature. Or maybe its my crazy "go for broke" attitude that gets me. I still don't know! But either way i'm trying to stay away from my 5 tumble (yes i have video of me tumbling 5 times and my shoe coming off at the farm) fall.
And i do use those butt pads i got at The Farm too!!! Those things have definately saved me in the vert and pool!!

But joe, how could i possibly forget what you told me! And how right you were too! Duguette is going to have to actually practice if he plans on catching me! Even then, he's got his work cut out for him!

Rest well this winter boys, we'll all be needing it next racing season!
take care

There was a thread about that event somewhere on CD. Amazingly, none of the photos had (yet) gotten the "Piss Bat" treatment...

yep, found the link

that was some fun skating! I need to go down south this winter and get back on my slalom board, instead of traveling FARTER north or west to snowboard.

Justin - congrats!! But...if you do travel "FARTER" north then please don't come to this area! It stinks enough here as is. ;-)
