Difference between boards

Post by Barry Gourley » Wed Jun 02, 2004 9:17 pm

I have 2 different type boards and i don't know what makes them feel so different. I have a Bahne blk hill & Gary Cross both with Trackers X/S & Avalon's. The Bahne feels much more planted than the GC, is the camber that much different?
The Bahne is a stiff and the GC is a med/stiff, the cross does flex a little more but I'm OK with it. Any ideas??
Thanks,
Barry

Barry,

Aside from the differences in wheel wear, wedging, bushings, camber and wheelbase, it maybe the weight difference. If the bahne weighs more it will absorb more vibrational frequencies possibly making it feel more "settled".

My other guess would be the ratio of flex front to rear. It maybe that the bahne "deadens" the rear truck more under flex than the comet.

You got me thinkin so I had to respond. Anyone else?
