It's ok if everybody respect the "game", you fall a cone, you re-place it, no "snaking", do not mix pros and ams training, and so on.....

limited practice runs, ok.
but limited practice runs on a CLEAN course ?
It's a bit hard to have only 2 or 3 runs if half the cones are down each time...

Janis is at a good point. I personally find 2 runs also a bit less but if you only have a time limit, when the practice time is over some might have had too few runs because of those who snaked in, which is considered to be unfair.
Possible solution: The racer gives a fix time bracket for practice runs in each discipline/category, this period of time then is divided by the number of racers per category/discipline which will give you the average time per racer. According to this average time you will be able to calculate (round up/down) the number of runs per racer.

Two runs its not in af, you need to set board especialy for this surface for this kind of course. You can do it only after some practice. I think that time limit (perhabs,30.min for pro and ams)its good and takes the same time as counting runs. Somebody who need it moore can do practice faster and moore times, thhen every body can show his best. actualy with two runs this year was less problems for organizators but moore for competitors.Somebody who came to competition made only 12.runs (6 + 6), but pay big money.

Training is ok, but not tons of runs which take a lot of time !! Like Brixlegg every rider should get one run on each lane.
Maybe for pros different to the amateurs, due to the fact that am's maybe don't have that much race experience ?

9. PRACTICE
9.1 The skater may have a chance to try the course, if it doesn’t interfere with the organizers preparations. The skater shall always have had a possibility to test the surface on which the slalom course is to be set.
