Jani, using ranks this could be done quite easily.
For paid members rank could be given like: ISSA member

You're right, but that's what we use to present the members tag line already. I'll see if I can find something more of the same type.

That field is 255 characters, so it should fit both texts :)Jani Soderhall wrote:You're right, but that's what we use to present the members tag line already. I'll see if I can find something more of the same type.

Has anyone heard anything lately from Rick Floyd?
He canceled his account here on SS.com and also on Facebook.
Seems as though he just dropped off the Internet entirely.

Re: POST ONLY REPLIES, don't use New Topic
With four positions open, and four nominees that have accepted their nomination, the ISSA BOD has decided that we will not further extend the election/nomination period, but accept these four nominees into the ISSA 2012 Board of Directors and so without any voting.
Thus, the ISSA BOD 2012 is made up of:
- Jani Soderhall, SWE/FRA
- Flavio Badenes, NED
- Ron "Fatboy" Barbagallo, US
- Petr Janousek, CZE
- Jonathan Harms, US
- Hans "Corky" Koraeus, SWE
- Ricardo Damborenea, ESP
The first meeting for the new BOD is January 15.

Good work, gents.
As a matter of interest, how does the banner sponsor at the top of the page vary from the monthly site sponsor, and on what terms is it held?

Thanks for asking!Sam Gordon wrote:Good work, gents.

The banners at the top are from vendors that sponsor the ISSA. They typically pay for a year and can have one or many banners being shown randomly at the forum. Each are associated with a link to the vendors website. The monthly sponsor is traditionally from individual members or local/national associations. We also recognize these sponsors on the ISSA front page.
So far this has been just a trial run for us in 2011 and we're very thankful to the sponsors that supported this trial run, we're renewing the offer to our sponsors in 2012 on the same terms, and as we move along we could further develop these ads, their placing and the intensity of their presentation.
Banners ads can also be associated with a specific forum, so if you like you could have a banner ad in the UK forum with UKSSA on it. Feel free to send one in for UKSSA and any other national association! They can be fairly large but ideally no higher than the current banner ads.

Chris,
Do me a favor and make another post here from your account. I'm not sure if your signature will attach to old e-mails or just to new e-mails since I changed your profile settings. I did find one button not selected (attach sigs by default) and changed it. But as I said I'm not sure if it updates existing posts or just those entered after the alteration.
If it doesn't work this time I'll have to contact Jani.

On your control panel under BOARD PREFERENCES is EDIT POSTING DEFAULTS. As I said I was unsure if it would then add your sig to all your posts but I guess it only starts to posts made after the selection is made.
And of course YOU had to go and psyche me out. Your picture was missing. I was like, "what happened to the damned pic? Why isn't it displaying?"
I see you deleted the image tag.
Thanks for nothin'!!! :-)

It's a technological update, not necessarily a design update. But we are showing our intentions here, then we can look at improving the overall design coherence over the entire site.
It is now the work of Guillaume, George, Corky and myself. Corky did the final touches too. There are still a few glitches to be fixed (some links not working correctly) and some additional texts that need to be added.

Just helping spread the word about the passing of Jeff Ruiz . . . this announcement is courtesy of Dale Smith and Glenn Miyoda:
Noted 70's Hobie Skateboard Photographer & Creative Director, Jeff Ruiz, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 2, 2012. He was born July 14, 1947 in Santa Monica, Ca.
Many in the Skate and Surf Community knew that Jeff attended Pasadena Art Institute and pursued a successful career in the field of graphic arts. Jeff became the creative force in the 70's while on staff at Hobie Skateboards. His duties were creative director, photographer, and illustrator. During that time, Jeff also was a contributing photographer for Skateboarder Magazine. His many friends & colleagues also knew Jeff by his many nicknames, aka: " El Hefe," Buffalo," " Paco," and "Jeff Reece."
A memorial service for Jeff Ruiz will held on Sunday, February 12, @ 2:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 760 Victoria St., Costa Mesa, Ca. All friends and family are welcome to come celebrate his life.

I'd guess 2002 or there abouts. I guess its the 267 board made and the preceeding "02" is the year.

Welcome aboard Lindsey! Missed you Sunday, looking forward to next. Are you free on a pattern (like 1st and 3rd) or just sort of random? I ask because I'll need someone else to set and strike courses a few times during the Summer, if we could pin down a few dates in advance we'd get more skating in.
Anyone close enough to skate Antrim is welcome to "host" one of these sessions.

Emilie had to attend a friend's wedding. Seb managed to get out of it... Haaa! Haa! Ha! He performed flawlessly with his two fastest runs being clean and with the same exact time to the thousands of a second. Seb, Louis, the Rockin Rookie, and Claude gave a great show. They all were very very fast. Julie raced very very well. Seeing her within a few hundreds of a second of Pierre, who is a super experienced racer and the fastest qualifier in the Am Tight at last year's Worlds, makes me very very proud of her. :)

Hey Mig, Buddy!
Don't sell yourself short! You raced very well all while doing the timing for the event. I know you did not practice much either. Everyone did really well. It was really nice to get back into some racing. It's been almost 3 years and I wasn't sure how I would feel.
Also for those of you who don't know we celebrated Mig's 50th Birthday over the weekend with a surprise party!!!!
Congrats man!!!! Thank you!!!!
