Hate to be boring, it all sounds GREAT Donald, but WC should be something you ask if others are planing to ask for as well. Antibes is in the planings and one more thing. Riga wants to host the Euros in mid July. Don’t you think it would be a little close between the two biggest races ? Riga and Antibes both announced there interest in hosting big events a long time ago, neither has stated it’s on. I think this has to be viewed by several parts of our community. I AM NOT SAYING YOU SHOULDEN`T GT IT, I JUST THINK IT SHOULD BE DISCUSSED.

Best of luck to you Donald.

thanks peter

i know that you have no bad thoughts about it and i know that i am kicking in doors right now.

but after all i've seen this year and after i left brixlegg i know what i want.
having the right(BIG) sponsors on boat and having the right tracks/scenery/mediapackage;has led me to the conclusion to go this way.
besides that i also think that it is my duty to satisfy my sponsors who all will spend large amounts of money on that event.the amounts involved are definitely way larger than what you have seen so far.
brixlegg is also very skateboard tourism oriented to put it mildly.
and from what the mayor of the city proposed i think its a MUST GO MUST RACE MUST HAPPEN.

i still have a bit of flexibility in timing schedule but i need to know asap what others are trying to plan.maybe i can move a bit or maybe the smaller events can move a bit too.
it's give and take nothing else.

and besides that:i am doing what i'm doing for the community,i don't want to stroke my ego.

what do you think about the tracks?
did you like what you saw so far?
are we gonna see you in the pool also peter?
you should come a few days prior to the race, the park is so wonderful!!!!!!

You all know it, if it´s on, I be there. July ??? is the Word Cup Football over ???
Don´t clash with the Football, they will get all the media. I put on the Swedish Surfing Championships one year, the same weekend as the last game of the year in the first division football, I´ll tell you, nobody wrote a single word about us. The following year we put it on two weeks after last game and had a full first page color picture from the event. I tell you, Corona beer was happy as their logo was exposed big on the back of the surfer in the picture.

This is not the picture but.

We are thinking to held a big event as well.
But nothing is confirmed yet.

We will know it in the end of September, beginning of October.

Nice Giant Slalom Spot.
here is the video of the inline race 2003:

http://www.wideo.ch/filme/inline-adsl.wmv

The race was held in the night and the spectators at the finish line had a Big Screen (live tv production) More than 5000 spectators at the race side. The course is about 700 meter's
The finish is in the City of Hinwil.

The organiser of this event is a friend of mine.

If we can get the spot with the big screen and live tv-production than we want to candidate for the Worlds 2006.

I will know it in the end of September...

A World-Skateboard-Fest in a real skateboard-town!

super-skatepark! leg-burner-giant-course! timing-system provided by skiing-experts! beautiful alpine site! cheap accomondation! huge price-money! authentic sponsors! media-coverage!

Can it be better? This is it!

The vids look VERY promising.

Donald and his orga Team must get the World Championships Status in 2006. Yes he has a big mouth but when he speaks of 10000$price money you will get it.
Last year we where in Brixleg on his organised Old School Weekend. The Slalom Contest was not huge but from 1-5 place we all got money and the rest got amaising prices better then on any other contest I went the last two years. This was one of the best weekends the last year.

On top you get one of the best concrete skateparks in Europe. I know you will love the Cradle!!!!

The Slalom Racing scene get´s bigger and bigger and we must get more bigger contests with good prize money and stuff for the Am´s otherwise it´s getting boring.

The future of Slalom or Skateboardracing what I prefer must be more interested and that you get when you compare Slalomcontests with a normal Skateboardcontest or Skateparksessions or whatever.

Stockholm and the oldschoolweekend was perfekt in this way. We came from the bus and dropped into the pool. OK not all of you can really skate but it´s better to watch some guys skating the pool then to sit on a dusty parking lot and drink some beers...

This kind of organisation is the future I think...Donald you are the man!!!!

Pavel rulez.

Oh remind that the contest will be in Austria and not in Germany so we all have to travel a lot but who cares we love the cradle...

If this one goes down my brothers/sisters, allow me to suggest a three day event and let me run the Cyber Challenge. Maybe I should ask Adam firs but well, I want to run a Cyber race when all the best is at the race.

Cyber, cyber, cyber...come on that's neither true racing nor fun. This contest will be hold in the alps so it won't be easy to find a spot that's completely flat. We could take the flat of the Craddle, if it's wide enough ;) ...don't take it too serious but I don't really mind this category.

Sometimes cyber is just a waste of time. If we ran cyber, we'll make this happen in the meantime while the Amateurs are racing so nobody will have to just hang around and wait.

q.e.d. etc.

What happened with the "timing-system provided by skiing-experts"?

Why don't we just agree that cyber sucks? When it's raining or snowing outside it's barely ok. Lets hope next years slalomraces have a little less...

Donald, it all looks great! Though I didn't understand on what road in town the race would be held at. Perhaps not the most important question at this time :)

Good luck!

Donald,
thanks for stepping up and throwing down for this event. I'm sure it will be worthy of the World classification. You can take out the "European" in "European World Championships".
Are the dates definate? And I agree, you should make this a 3 day event. SuperG, GS, Special, and TS? What is the nearest major airport?

cyber does NOT suck, but who needs a cyber during a real race and event if it's not raining ?

100 cones race ?

Why bag on Cyber, it's the only thing I don´t totaly suck at. 'OK, truck it, Let's just do something we seldom do (did I spell thet right?), like 100 cones or something. Anyway, I think it´s great you (Donald) post it already, makes it easy to plan.

Next years main/major candidate so far as I know:

Paris
Hannover
Riga European Championship Candidate
Gruningen World Championship Candidate
Brixlegg World Championship Candidate
Antibes World Championship Candidate

If you are a race promotor and you're not on the list, well, get going and let all of us know you plans and ambition.

Prime Candidates are:

Stockholm
???
???
???

Oh well... I was so stoked to be coming to the World's in Austria next year , and then I read that "punk rock" is the music of choice for the event. Luckily I hadn't made my reservations yet. Maybe, next time...
