BOD 2012 election

With four positions open, and four nominees that have accepted their nomination, the ISSA BOD has decided that we will not further extend the election/nomination period, but accept these four nominees into the ISSA 2012 Board of Directors and so without any voting.

Newly elected members:

- Petr Janousek, CZE
- Jonathan Harms, US
- Hans "Corky" Koraeus, SWE
- Ricardo Damborenea, ESP


Thus, the ISSA BOD 2012 is made up of:

- Jani Soderhall, SWE/FRA
- Flavio Badenes, NED
- Ron "Fatboy" Barbagallo, US
- Petr Janousek, CZE
- Jonathan Harms, US
- Hans "Corky" Koraeus, SWE
- Ricardo Damborenea, ESP


The first meeting for the new BOD is January 15.

JBH has prepared a statement, but it hasn't been posted yet. Then Wesley Tucker will make a mass email to all former members of the ISSA and encourage nominations and to describe the nomination and election process. WT is not part of the BOD, but has volunteered to help us handle the election process.

Is there a nomination or a call for volunteers?

At the end of each year "half" of the 7 ISSA board member positions are up for re-election to renew the BOD. The other half will stay to provide consistency from year to year. In order to follow the tradition 4 new board members are to be elected at the end of 2011. These new members of the board will serve during 2012-2013.

Currently the ISSA BOD 2011 is made up of:

- Jani Soderhall, SWE/FRA
- Petr Janousek, CZE
- Jonathan Harms, US
- Peter Klang, SWE
- Flavio Badenes, NED
- Ron "Fatboy" Barbagallo, US
(there is also one vacant position).

The following BOD members have fulfilled their term at the end of 2011:
- Petr Janousek, CZE - voluntarily stepping down to handle the EU status duties only
- Jonathan Harms, US - voluntarily stepping down
- Peter Klang, SWE - have served for 2 years now
(there is also one vacant position).

The following BOD members are serving also in 2012:
- Jani Soderhall, SWE/FRA
- Flavio Badenes, NED
- Ron "Fatboy" Barbagallo, US


Wesley Tucker has accepted to handle the election process and will inform members of the process.

Please note that only paid 2011 members can vote and we kind ask you to join the ISSA for 2011, although announced late in the year, so that we can maintain a democratic procedure.
