time to say goodbye

as a rfesult of a few days of reflection and also putiing into consideration what's going on here,in this sport, and in general i came to the conclusion that i won't be available for anything regarding work for isssa, contests, sanctioning, being elected as something.

quite honestly:i know there are people out there that really like me,i really love doing anything possible for those.
there are others out there who don't like or maybe even hate me for whatever reason.
i do not want to work for those.

i look at things right now and i see no real option for me to move without getting burned even more.
i see a lot of inactivity from people who could do something, but they don't-their decision.

i once had a lot of fun doing things, going to contests, meeting people and so on.

that fun has gone completely,no more fun, just discussions, arguing and so on.

well,i don't need that anymore-actually i don't want this.

i will concentrate on my brands and my team in the future and step away from anything which has the name issa on it.

i simply want to have my peace of mind back.

when i look around me here where i am located i see tons of work around me,everyday, lots of guys and gals that need my attention more than people i don't really know.
also i see results here immediately when i invest work.
i don't see this happening here.

so finally i come to the conclusion that i don't want to work on things that might or definitely will create something i don't want to have:enemies.

feel free to withdraw me from the election,i'm stepping back immediately.

comment as much as you want,i won't come back to read it anyway.

i will post a bit here and there in our pavel section and gog section as i will put more concentration on marketing and creativity.
for my german buddies i will also be available when it comes to throw a contest without any kind of sanctioning.

joe i.,your call,i hope i stirred things up the right direction.

joe is the best to happen to this thing in a long time.
i salute you and i apologize for disappointing you.
but i don't want to do things for a mostly silent group of racers.

brixlegg-i don't know
i guess not
too many stones thrown into the path
no money to earn(don't expect it anyway)
will there be a positive feedback for what i planned?i don't know.

again-i'm out

the best for the rest

off to work and the some pool-skating

Brixlegg would have been the best contest there could be!

Donald should be the one to organise an event like that, because no one else has shown such professionality in event organisation and the will to take part in such a difficult process.

The idea was perfect! Just too much people that want to do their things their way!
Does anyone, that had arguments against, done anything in this matter?

I am one of them who had some problems with the format regarding the lack of AM and JUN-races, and I still think that we shall have an open discussion about matters like this.
I was involved in Worlds in G-burg 08 and I know what kind of work you have to do to make things happend.
When I read all the posts about Brixslegg the majority are extremely positive.
What I don´t like is that Donald is leaving ISSA.

Donald,

Regardless of the election, it doesn't preclude your ability to contribute or hold Brixlegg as the most bad-ass WC ever.

Thanks a lot for getting me involved and then taking your ball and going home.

Stop being a pussy.

Love, Joe

Donald, your resignation is not accepted. I expect you to be back at your job pissing people off first thing Monday morning. Achtung!

Seriously, though, WTF? Or rather, in honor of your e-mail address...WDF?

Sorry I never got to meet you, Sir

Joe and Civ speak highly of you

Best of luck!

I understand you've got to do what you've got to do, but I'm not happy about you leaving ISSA. Just don't stop putting on races. Brixlegg Worlds would be awesome.

Donald - I'm available any time you wish to discuss racing, or just sk8ing in general. I hope to make it to Europe for a race next year. This is supposed to be fun - I respect your right to step down when it does not become so, but hope you will not give up on trying to make changes on your own or with an interested group of others (which may include me).
