Henry J..the course at Morro Bay on Sunday was a power pumper, you had to pump 100% all the way down (50+ cones). The "hill" in downtown morro is fairly flat, the surface is iffy, but the venue is AMAZING (we must of had 800+ spectators in an out that day). A high/hard wheel like the flashback was the right wheel choice here. GBJ's great course required little traction so guys upped the duros of their wheels to run fast over the rough surface and carry more momentum thru the course. Plus Curt usually runs harder wheels than others (at least when I race him). But 92/88a was a good choice for this day.
My ideal wheel for that course would have been a 85a avalon with half the inner lip and maybe 8-12mm of the outer lip cut off making a high narrow wheel in a nice rebound formula.
