Skatepark advice - Any organizations out there?

Post by lanphier howard » Fri May 05, 2006 7:16 pm

Hi,
This may be the wrong forum but maybe you can point me in the right direction. I am the Chief of Police in a small town in upstate NY where the orginal term" there is nothing for kids to do" was originally coined. I have started an aggressive campaign to build and open a skateboard park in the village. I have support from the community and I am working to allocate grant monies for the project. One of the goals of my project is to find a club or organization similar to what soccer has with AYSO. Does anyone know if such an organization exists? Right now several communites in my area are dealing with skateboarders by banning them. I wish to provide a positive outlet for our talented youth (and not so talented LOL). Anyway, any and all help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!
