Do some of you know these people? I don't. I don't know what countries many of them live (people are getting really slack or skittish about filling out profiles on websites) and a couple have registered just to access the Buy/Sell forum. That's OK. But this is just the last page of "new" people registered on the site since May 27. There's a lot more pages before that.

The point is there are brand new people out there coming to SS.com to be involved in some way with slalom skateboarding. Odds have it within just a short amount of time they will want to race if they haven't attended one already.

What's the point of this? Well, it seems as though things are slowing down a bit and we all know the reasons: moving on to other things, burnout with race organizing, no money, yadda, yadda, yadda. But then it's easy to see there are people wanting to slalom and getting involved in what we've been doing for a very long time.

For manufacturers I might suggest HARVESTING some e-mails from the more recent registrants and getting directly in contact with these people. For race organizers do the same. Find out where they are and what they want out of slalom. For the ISSA, quit ignoring them and make an overt effort at outreach.

Or, nothing can change and just hope the same 20 or 30 people will continue to travel around and go to races. Maybe Silverfish can pick up the slack and carry the load.

Might be good idea to put some fields in registration page as mandatory fields, like country.
