Lukas Mehler (GER) - position in preparation

What can YOU do for the ISSA?

You don't have to have a political program, a fantastic strategy all worked out in advance, or any other specific prerequisite to fill any of these positions, you just need you to have been part of the scene for a while and be able to speak out your thoughts, discuss and carry out decisions. We all know and hope that the BOD should do much more than they do, but we've come to accept that time is limited for us all, and that it's difficult to set aside enough time to accomplish all we would like to. So instead of doing it all, we're just doing what we can, given the circumstances. That's all that we ask from you too.

It's been our ambition to have clearer areas of focus within the BOD, so that BOD members can act on their own within their areas of responsibility. We're doing pretty good so far, but it's still an area for improvement.

How about YOU? Can you help us, if not with a BOD position maybe doing some other job? We'll soon reorganize how we enter results to simplify the job for Corky, and at the same time we want to gather more historical results into the database. It would be good to have one per country to help out. Let us know if you're willing to help.

Thanks!

BOD members normally serve two years at a time. This year we're making an exception for the Vice President (currently Patric) with an additional period of 1 year so that the President and VP are not re-elected, or leaving, at the same time. It's a tiny distinction though, but just wanted to make it publicly known and posted before the election takes place.

All four of us current BOD members are available for re-election. Unless any other candidates show up, these members will be elected Nov 30th for a two year term (1 year for VP).

ISSA BOD 2019:

On the BOD meeting January 20, 2019, we concluded that the four eligible candidates for reelection did not meet any opposition (ie new candidates) within the Nov 30 timeframe, and are thus reelected for another 2 year period.

We also decided that I will remain President, and Patric will remain Vice President.

The BOD 2019 is thus:

Jani Söderhäll, SWE/FRA, President
Patric Duletzki, GER, Vice President
Maria Carrasco, USA
Hans Koraeus, SWE
Robert Thiele, GER
Janis Kuzmins, LAT
Sammy Nogueira, BRA
