Timing System: Garmin Forerunner 305

Post by Stefano Bellingeri » Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:21 pm

Dear all,
I bought a GPS linked timing system for my running sessions https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=142&pID=349
I wonder to use it as point to point (GPS) timing system for my training sessions. Did anybody already try to use such a device for this purpose? I know that GPS coordinates have an error which is around +- 5 meters. is this info correct?
thanks in advance,
Stefano

The GPS system is way too inaccurate to be used for timing such short distances.

In fact. I had the same doubt. Just to clarify. Thanks.
