East Coast Tech Tight

Post by Brian Morris » Sat Nov 30, 2002 6:18 am

I love to slalom, and I love to skate, but since my first race as a promoter in early Oct. the mouse has really been turning. I am planning a couple of races for mid season next year. (I got the good news that I could be skating again by May/June) What are your feelings on tech courses, including direction changes, gimmie gates ect... on a curved road? The pavement isn't perfect fresh asphalt, but more like slightly worn street. Would traction problems translate into a safety issue? Not only would I want these troubles to convince the town council that racing on the street is a safe sport, but I would hate to see anybody hurt at a race.

Regards,
"Brain"
