Question about Riser Pads & Bushings

Hey guys!

I am new to Slalom Skateboarding, and I have a couple questions concerning Riser Pads, Bushings and Wheelbase.

I have 4 80a Khiro Riser Pads and 4 Flat Sector 9 Riser Pads. The problem is that I don't know how to set them. So can anyone tell me what I should put in front and back.

I also have a Set of Khiro Bushings. But I am not sure about which one to put. I weight around 145 pounds. And if I want to Split, should I put the softer bushing boardside or roadside?

For the wheelbase, I would like to know what's best for HS, TS and GS. The Biggest wheelbase, Medium or the Shorter.

(I have a Fullbag Louis Ricard, Tracker trucks and 70mm Zigzags Lime)

So if anyone could answer these questions, it would be very appreciated. :)

Sorry if my English is bad and if these questions can be stupid. :P

Thanks.

Welcome!

It's a bit of far shot, but start here:
2 angled Khiros in front, thin ends forward (wedged). If it feels too turny, drop to 1; If it feels as the front truck is resisting the turn at first, then turns too viollent, drop to 1 wedge, too.
2 angled Khiros in the back, thin ends forward (dewedged).
If one wedge was enough in front, add the 3rd one in the back - kick tail needs extra dewedging.
Add flat risers only if getting wheel bite. If only one wedge in front, you are likly to add a flat riser too.
At 145 lbs, I'd go double white cones in front, double red barrels in the back. If back feels too stiff, drop roadside barrel to blu, if still too stiff, both to blue.
Depending on the kingpin length, and cones' height, you might be able to put in 3 cones in front - 2 hourglassed boardside, 1 roadside. In that case, I'd add one blue in the mix. You can replace the kingpin for longer too.
Shortest wheelbase for TS, Medium for HS, longest for GS. You might want to drill extra holes for even longer GS base. Louis Rickard's tail has plenty of space for 2.5" extra.
Always run the longest WB you can squeeze through a given course.

Don't take any of the above as given, experiment a lot to find YOUR preffered setup!
Have fun.

Thanks, I just did my set-up with 2 khiros in front, 2 in back, white khiros in front and red in back. I started it with the medium wheelbase. Now I just have to go try it out.

Thanks for your advice.

And what do you think about washers? Are the both necessary, Should i use flat or cup?

Ah, washers...
Front: Flat washer roadside; flat washer boardside (or few if you needed to adjust height for the bushing seat to sit level).
Back: Large flat washer roadside, if too turny replace with cupped.

Before you go for anything fast, try leaning the board to the max while stationarry, to check for any possible wheel bite. If it comes very close, then it WILL happen at speed. In that case add a flat riser.

Thanks, I just completed my set-up and it is pretty much perfect right now.

Thanks for your help. :)
