I just saw that Peter Klang and Pelle Gustafsson have registered for Antibes. That makes four Swedes so far.

There are rumours of others in the Stockholm area thinking of going to Antibes including Marcus Seyffarth and Per Svensson. Maybe even some for the downhill events on Sunday.

There are many pieces to puzzle together before you make your descision. I can here them all humming "Should I stay or should I go!".

Seems like there are a couple of Swedes that probably will pull out of the Eurpean Championships. It's true that the tickets are a little bit expensive. My flight was SEK 3200 with Polish airline LOT. Taking Ryan air to London and Easyjet from there is also possible. That will get you down to around SEK 2600.

I will Arrive Friday 15:50 and leave Sunday 16:30.

The hotel Formula 1 alternative is cheap and good. Takes 3 person per room if I have understood correctly.

I will look into car rental at Nice airport.

If anyone want to share hotel and/or car don't hesitate to contact me.

Pierre Samray said:
"FORMULE ONE : it's 28 euro for a 3 beds room with tv and it's 15 minutes from the slalom and 5 from the downhill."

I checked on my favorite car rental site http://www.autoeurope.com and they charge SEK 1400 for 2 days.

But maybe since the hotel is so close to the site maybe car is not needed even. But then you have to find a way to get from Nice to Antibes there and back.

There are train and buses from Nice airport to Antibes taking about 27 minutes. They seem to go quite often.

Then next question. How far from train station to Hotel Formula 1?

I just realized that when Pierre says 15 min to the slalom area from the Formule 1 hotel it's probably by car. Not by foot. So maybe a car rent is needed after all. And by the way the car is good to keep all stuff during competition.

I have reserved a room in the Formule 1 from Friday to Sunday. Every room can take up to 3 persons. Still same price 28 euro so it gets very cheap if you are 2 or 3 persons.

Hi Hans we are still looking for a reasonable way to get down there, if we find one Daniel and me would be happy to share the room with you. Daniel will be on his way to the US tomorrow so we will check it out today, I will let you know.

Don't worry Marcus. I will race for you too. Just beat the shit out of me in Stockholm and then you will be able to compare your "virtual results" in both Antibes and Morro Bay.

Sorry Marcus, You will not be able to compare your virtual results very well. I didn't feel very well with my shoulder. I don't know my result but I guess it's not impressive. Jani wasn't doing great either. No exciting news for Sweden I'm afraid. But we managed together to get a Swedish result in each discipline at least. Jani in Special and Super-G and I in GS.

We have to pull ourselves together for next year. We should have at least 3 people in each discipline. Then there is a greater chance that someone will do well.

Berätta hur det var! Banor, asfalt, folket, vädret, stämningen, tidtagning, vurpor, boende - allt! Hoppas verkligen att din axel blir bra snart det är för jävla tråkigt att det gick så illa! Krya på dig!
