Jani is the only Swede who finally went over to Germany for the German championships.
After first days giant slalom he did ok. He was second after qualification in the "Open" class but finally finished third. Giant slalom isn't Jani's strongest discipline so don't be surprised if he does better in tomorrows "tight" slalom. But will he be able to beat Maurus Strobel? Maurus has been looking afully strong lately.

As I guessed Jani showed his class in the tight slalom. But an unfortunate mishap in the first final run for the victory against Maurus Strobel from Switzerland he run out of the course already after 3 cones. All day had been perfect until then. He had the best time after the qualification runs. In the second run he did beat Maurus but with a 1.5 second penalty in the first run the victory was not Jani's this day.

But it does look good for the European championships in Antibes.
