seems like i'll be back in paris sooner that expected!Vincent Berruchon wrote: Riderz and the CDRS75 (parisian comitee of the french federation) booked the Trocadero slopes from the 25th to the 28th of May 2006.
So we are thinking about a four days event, but we have to work more on the schedule before telling more.
You'll also be happy to know that we're trying to block another street just near the Trocadero to organize a long Giant Slalom (or Super G).
4 days program with a super G, it looks great
but that time, i'll be there as a visitor, not anymore as a local!

World cup Hannover
Hey Vinzz, we are waiting for the Final Word from Paris. Our Race on the fabulous Expo Area is only possible on the first weekend in june. So if you decide to change your date to may, we can organize our race. please let me know your decision. we can organize a powerweek with to big races in two european countries. this can be very interesting for the american racers.
i´m sure we can offer a big price money for an overall winner paris/ hannover. what do you think? and what do all the participants from our first race think about that idea?

Right now it is more likely that Paris will be end of May rather than early June.
Our next organizers meeting was postponed and I will not be able to attend the next one (Vinzzz will) but it is leaning strongly towards May. But as we still haven't had a green light for our initial date June 3-5 it's safer to go for a late May date.
Just wanted to let you know, although the final word hasn't been said yet.

Donald, you being a loudmouth or not have nothing to do with it. The trend have been going that way for a long time. It's just that some shout and act and others just act. It still gives results in the end.
We all have our personalities and they are all needed, like in the real world. Seeing all the different kinds of people doing slalom on a high level is really great. The same goes for the organizers. This is a good thing and will make the future so much more interesting for the sport. Skateboarding has some real characters. Let's hope slalom can be a place where they can all meet.

Hannover World Cup
Hey Jani,
i hope everything will work good for you. If you decide to make the event one week before in may, we are ready to hold our 2. skateboard slalom world cup in hannover from 3.-5. of june.
at the moment it´s the only possibility. each first weekend in june we have the expo revival party on the expo area 2000. all streets are closed on that weekend and a lot of spectators go there for the event.
anyway, good luck for you in paris. i´ll be there. may or june. we will see.

Nothing is sure yet and although VinzZz and I now share the responsibility for the Paris SLALOM race we can't decide (alone) over the whole event. We'll say what we think next week at a meeting with the rest of the organizers.
Next years Paris Slalom World Cup will include more "other" events than before and also other skateboard disciplines(!). (Hey, Donald listen!)
More news as soon as we can obtain it.

Sounds Good
I like that! Let us know as soon as it is all confirmed. 2 Events in one trip with some coaching clinics in between sounds good.
Many Happy Pumps!

so he can take the open slot
but in fact nothing is sure. We are waiting for more news...
The city was OK for the first week end of June but there's something big from the country or government that seem to block even the city will!
We hope to have more information at the beginning of next week.

Paris dates
Jani,
Monday the 29th of May is a Bank Holiday in Britain, so the earlier dates might suit those hoping both to travel and take in a bit of Paris without having the mad dash back to the UK.
Is this not also similar to the dates of PWC one and two?
The above is not intended to swing any decision, but should go to show that the May dates are not unfavourable, and will probably even be welcomed by a tiny part of the slalom community.

Problems with the dates, June 3-5 or May 25-28
< Latest update. We've now choosen May 25-28, a four day race weekend! Updated Nov 2005 /Jani>
We just received information that we may be able to get an authorization for the Trocadero on June 3-5, 2006 and may have to move the event back into May, 26-28. It's not a bad choice either as it is kind of a 4 day weekend.
We received the information yesterday that they are blocking all events on the Trocadero for the month of June. We don't know why and what the outcome will be, but for now we have asked for the alternative date of May 26-28.
Sorry to keep you on hold, but this is some top level decision from the city.
Don't book you tickets just yet. Let's wait and see what comes out of this.
