It's over, we're done, we're tired.
Once we're through the meal and the next bottle of Duvel beer, the results will be up.
...all I can say right now is that it was a fantastic experience to be part of this race. And I had the best place as a spectator and could enjoy every aspect of the show. So many good racers, such exciting runs. It was all coming together very nicely. Just judge from the faces on the team photos!
Thank's to everyone for taking part!

I'm sitting here thinking that this Paris World Cup must have been the best and most enjoyable competition I have been to. Everything worked extremely well. The organisation, the timing equipment, the weather, all the exiting and fun races, the Nations Cup, the courses, the food, all the spectators on the Trocadero and so on.
For me personally I did not do well at all but still I really enjoyed each discipline and had a lot of fun racing. And of course I could look at all my swedish race pals doing really well. Paris World Cup have always been a good place for Swedes during the past years. This year will be the year of Henrik Wadsten who won both GS and straight in the Am class. Hans Göthberg taking second in Am straight and Anders Hellquist taking 5:th in Pro straight not to forget. And the victory in the Nations Cup by Sweden (Anders Hellquist, Henrik Wadsten, Michael Hadestrand) will be something we will talk about for the rest of our lives I guess.
Something I enjoyed too as a spectator was the pro special course. It was a really hard course and the pros needed to push their skills to the max. It was not just about pushing all you had from start to finish. Then you would not make the course. It was about speed control. Some even used controlled slides for that. The course was not an ordinary pro special slalom course seen on races lately and took some racers by surprise. It needed other skills than usual that some racers could make use of and others had a hard time to handle. It was a course that even made the pros go "Yeah!" when making it clean. And I didn't here many "Yeah!'s"...

öhhhm ... dominik also took tons of pics at the bowl.
can´t wait to see them.
yes, paris was a real blast!
and even if my racing really sucked due to lack of preparation/training i had an incredible time. the bowl session was the highlight for me fun-wise.
also seeing christoph baumann stonemason-style chiseling his way to 2nd place in the overall rating on wefunk-tuned decks made me very proud and happy.
just wait to see his coming pro-model!!!

Thank you Fred, Jani, Vinzzz, David, Etienne, Céline and rest of Riderz for a memorable weekend and an extraordinary good organisation. PSWC is hard to beat!
Special thanks goes to Patrick for staying at your place. (I hope the estate agents with apartment speculants didn't get too afraid when they opened the door on Wednesday morning and found a pale, hairless person sleeping on the floor with and a DDR T-shirt visible on the sofa. I tried my best to speak French, but all I came up with was "Ich bin müde, ein bisschen anders".

Thanks very much once again to the whole Trockin' Crew for putting on such an excellent event in one of the great locations. Jani, David, Dan, Vinzzz, Celine, Fred and all: top work; top results!
Not only did the weather hold (just!) but the racing went according to schedule which is a first for quite some time. It meant that you could structure your day towards sightseeing/ bars/ sleep rather than being in attendance at the race site for 24 hours.
On a critical note, it would've been preferred that we lose a day of racing from midweek and add that to the Sunday. I know that many of the Ams were without competition on that day having expected to be in the Nations Cup. But I'm sure that this can be resolved for next year.
And I must remember to bring a spare bush to the Tocadero next year. That Duvel certainly works it's magic in mysterious ways. Reckon that I've explored and revealed myself to 90% of the surrounding parkland.
But that's a digression. Paris 2006 was a fantastically organised event with some really great racing.

First, a big thanks to everyone who made my trip to Paris possible. It was amazing, I will remember it the rest of my life. It was so cool to look down at the Eiffel Tower from the starting gates. To see things in person that I had been seeing in history books my whole life was overwhelming.
The level of competition at the event was incredible.
Over the four days of racing, thousands of people were exposed to slalom. The organizers did a grand job.
One other thing that I found refreshing was the almost total lack of whining about the courses.
Thanks again!

great!
Great event!
Thank you, Vinzzz and Jani, and their large and sympatic group of local helpers for organizing and keeping things fluid.
Just some advice for the next time:
1. Do it all within three days, please. In May daylight is until 9:00 p.m. So why not profit on that?
2. Finish every race in one day, with prize-ceremony right after each race. It will make the show more complete.
Thanks to everybody for coming from so far away and competing.
Thanks to all my teammates for doing so well. Congrats especially to Civ from Canada.
CIV, YOU ROCK!
(... and please stay AM for a while. I don't want to get beaten by you next time we meet.)
Florian, welcome on Pavel boards!
Charles, thank you for hosting me and my family!
Happy to meet you all again in Hanover or Riga and of course in Brixlegg!
Thank you, Vinzzz and Jani, and their large and sympatic group of local helpers for organizing and keeping things fluid.

Paris is always tempting
Summer time and the livin' is easy...
I appreciate very much indeed the enormous work of the Troca Team to make the event happen. Paris will be Paris... It was worth being there just to skate in the Fairyland:))
