Unfortuntaly we can no longer use the airline company FLY ME to travel there - they just went bankrupt.

Re: Fly Me - no more
From Paris there are typically two alternatives: Air France, with direct flights is the best choice, but expensive.Vincent Berruchon wrote: so how can we go there? what are the best way to come (easy is good but cheap too)??
SAS with flights via Copenhagen (or other cities) is probably less expensive. Then you can maybe find a few other companies, but no low costs as far as I know.

safari -mac..
there is a known problem with safari-and mac, and some bugs on the safari browser that does not work on some websites..
try to double click when you come to a page, and would like to move forward or go to other links etc...
the best advice I can give is to use firefox or explorer with mac, because SafARI DOESN'T WORK THAT WELL ON LOT'S OF WEBSITES.

In one week its on! Unless Antonio moves up one notch for this race there's only 10 racers signed up to race pro. At least we know there won't be round of 16...
How come people don't register when they are coming? Perhaps the entry fee should be like Ryanair tickets, 1€ six months ahead and 1000€ last week. If you know you are coming, make life a little easier for the organizers and sign the freak up!
By the way are the courses gonna be those Euro-style-Autobahn kind, or STOCKHOLM Tight-like-a-mans?
I suggest very tight and very fast. Its such a great combo. Who knows it might be fun, people might loosen up their trucks, learn about equipment and have a good time...?

Swedish news article June 12
I just picked up this article from the GP newspaper, the largest in the Gothenburg area. It's in Swedish and I won't translate it now, but it's nice to see that they guys have the media involved.
Störst i USA
- Ont i knäet.

I came in late to Gothenburg and passed the race site at midnight. There is a big screen on a small scene used for results. A tent set up for racers with free drinks and snacks. It looks really good. When you see the pics you will see. Those who choose not to come will be sad when they see it.
I think they are on to something big here. Now let's hope the weather will be on our side too. Right now it says rain Saturday evening and the whole Sunday. In my opinon it meens we should make use of friday evening for some timed GS practise...
Now I will have to sleep a couple of hours...

not this time...
very interesting article, Jani...
I guess it says that this will be the biggest competition ever in skateboarding-history and that Gothenborg is awaiting all the best racers of this planet....no?
Btw. I liked the word "parallellbanan". Someone tell me what THAT means, please?
I am sorry I couldn't make it to Gothenburg. I got too much work right now and leaving my wife, the 2 boys and our 6 month old baby for 5 days (that was the cheapest flight) simply wouldn't be fair.
I gave my ticket to Dominik. I hope he has finally arrived. So better watch your daughters, sisters, wifes, girlfriends and... grandmas!
I wish you good luck for the weather. Have a good time and see you at another race!
And Dominik, if you are out there:
please bring me a "parallellbanan", o.k.?
Now rip!

Short TV presentation - with locals and Dominik!
On GP.TV right now:
http://www.gp.se/
This is THE big newspaper in the Gothenburg region.
Scroll down until you see the slalom photo. Click on TV and watch a short news introduction on this weekends event. Some Swedish guys are interviewed - and then there's Dominik. Well, who put him in there?

Yeepy-Ya!
I love the way Dominik is trying to speak swedish. I absolutely share his deep expressions about skateboarding, especially his first one....
And the TV-girl seems to dig it, too.
After the report she says something like: "....hili-ya, helliihi-ya....."
(Oh come on, everybody knows what that means!)

"The best competition I've ever been to, says todays winner Marcus Seyffarth"
Hmm, they made it sound as if he had a 1.5 sec advantage and could just cruise through the course. I bet it wasn't that easy!He was really cool, making two clean runs in the final against Ramon Königshausen. After a small lead in the first final run, he just controlled the second run, keeping an eye on his opponent.
