Don't worry about the sign up. It will be posted and you won't miss it. I can reserve a spot for you Macrus
Yes, the schedule is optimistic. That's why it's called rough, preliminary schedule. But since our race will be part of a big festival area we'll totally have to stick to the schedule. No delays caused by racers will be tolerated. I calculated 20 pros/40 Amateurs and 10 women/juniors for this schedule...so yes, riders will be limited but we'll see according to the sign up. (Which we'll put up soon).
And on Marcus day in Switzerland we usually have our Swedish friends bring their own cakes...sorry...but I may ask my mum to bake you a cake.

For you Claude there is always hole in my calendar! When and where? Is it decided yet?
It would be fun to go, I haven't been to the US since Morro Bay 2004 and I have never been to Canada. I was about to go to the worlds 2007 but we found a new house and it just wasn't possible to go.
So have you got Raymundo in your basement? Please tell him that I'm out of jam and that his grandmother needs to make some new

That is providing I let Ramon out of his cage long enough to go back home.
Marcus, are there many holes in your calendar?
Are you coming over to NA to defend your title this year?
Many Happy Pumps!

Thanks for the offer to check accommodation, Ramon; it might be useful for others.
I've booked Paul Price, David O and myself into the Hotel California on the North East side. It's above PapaJoe's Bar.
We can check out any time we like.

Well, Zurich is not really big so...but if you stay north (called left lake shore but it's the right side when you're looking at the lake from Zurich) you should be good.
How soon would you need accommodation info? I could look up a couple of places to stay. Hotels, youth hostels whatever you want.
This is a rough, preliminary schedule of Saturday. Not sure yet, but we might run a (outlaw) GS on Sunday.
ATTENTION: The schedule might quite likely be brought forward by 30-60min. Means everything is a bit spread out. Only 2 practice runs each due to tough schedule (sorry, we're part of a bigger event and cannot afford delays. I would really like to give you more than two practise runs)
TO BE UPDATED!!!!

Thanks Ramon.
Are there any more details as to the schedule, and is there a better area of Zurich in which to stay that might have good access to both the old part of town/ lake/ bars and of course, the race site?

Let me post a preliminary schedule later this week as I don't have my computer with me right now.
It's supposed to start 9 AM I think and end by 7 or 8 PM. There might be a GS slalom session outside of town on Sunday or a slalom Jam somewhere else in the suburbs. I'll figure it all out as soon as I got my computer...gotta check with Maurus...
This is close to where the race will take place. There is a bus that runs, but we'll see if we can provide a shuttle bus. I think there will be an extra bus for the festivities.
This is the northern entrance of the tunnel where there should be shuttle busses provided by the festivity organization:

This is the route to the entrance of another tunnel in which the race will take place:

Hello gents, is there any further information on this event, such as start time of race and accurate location? Would it be sensible to stay in Zurich, or is the tunnel in a town on the Zurich environs?
I'm under local pressure to do something different on this weekend, so have to be armed with details if I'm to get to Switzerland!
Cheers,
Sam
P.S. Thanks for the below, Foxy Doood
