[2005] Grueningen 2005 - First impressions

Post by Chris Eggers » Mon Jun 20, 2005 7:47 am

Hot hot hot.
Hot weather, Slalom superlatives.

(I think) the most racers ever
For sure the most women ever, they even made a cut!
The most impressive new very fast racers.
The tightest Tight Slalom ever, even Luca hit cones, very nice.
The longest wait ever. It sat there from 9 in the morning (Philip had his race in the morning, Yoyos son) and raced by 8 in the night.

Organisation was good, there was a problem with the computers I think.

Next year we have to change something.

It has to happen faster. I don't really know. I have a few ideas and will post topics to discuss later.

So far wait until you see pics from the tight!
Thanks to the PScontest Team!

Chris

Well! today I'm ill (fiever and no more voice) I'm tired (very short night) but as usual we (Antibes team) have enjoy a lot your event and be sure we'll be there next year, even if I don't race no more I can't miss that and only come to coach and to have fun.
mmmh...Maybe I'll drink less beer next year to stay in good condition on Sunday!
Florian will be there too, because he has his own girl fan club in Grueningen.
Thanks for your friendly welcome. And as you say. ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!!

Thank to Donald who let me use one of his Pavel board to do the "very" tight slalom
And note I certainly establish a new world record : 26 cones hit in my second run I think.
Thank to the cone marshall who certainly was happy when Luca took me out the race :-)

Thank to all the staff who make a clean job with efficacy.

Bad we have no time to do the nation's slalom (we'll we do it in Antibes)

See you in Antibes.

There is a small race in Zurich !

26. September at the Rennweg next to the financial district Paradeplatz.

Yes, organise a big competiton in Zurich ! I will be there too...
But look that you can regulate the weather, so that it is not too hot and not too cold, so we could have enough spectators !!

And a second advice: Quit your job before starting to organise....

DVD

Post by Chris Eggers » Wed Jul 06, 2005 9:33 am

Yesterday evening I watched a DVD from Peter Platenek. There was arun with Christoph Baumann. It must have been in the practice Pro Tight. Christoph was on the red lane, the racer on the white started a bit earlier.

They both were fast as hell. The white racer kicked at least 20 cones, 11 of them went in front of Christoph´s board. He kicked them all away, only knocking 3 of his own.

I think it looks amazing that Christoph does not get distracted from the cones lying in front of him, he just charges on this run. He is a machine. Respect. You should see it, I need someone who can put this on the net.
