[2005] CEÛZE : French Championship, giant, Aug 20-21, 2005.

Post by Pierre Samray » Mon Aug 22, 2005 11:40 am

Sathursday was the 3rd step of the French slalom Championship 2005.

Strange idea from the organizer to organize at the same moment the downhill training. So only 7 of the 18 racers registered was present.
And for sure the 5 best French have sacrified the downhill training to race for the french title in giant.

A very fast super GS we raced in 3 runs.
First run : Florian (Porcinet) Lombardo win it with 35"81
Second run : I won it with 35"50
Third run : Vincent (Vinzz) Beruchon has the last word with 35"26

Here is the complete ranking.

1 Vincent Berruchon 35"26
2 Pierre Samray 35"50
3 Vincent Langlade 35" 75
4 Florian Lombardo 35"81
5 Guillaume Coquin 36"86
6 Adrien Massieye 37"26
7 Stephane Glaize DNF

Last step of this French Championship : ANTIBES during the world cup.
But Vincent Berruchon is already sure to have the title now.

Vinzzz use a Pavel giant (not sure about the wheels) avalon trimed (yellow and?)
Florian, Guigui and me use an Aluflex 36 inches. I have randall 150 + very old Avila 80A,(so slidy!!!) Florian randal too + Avalon, Guillaume seismic and ? and blue avila
Vincent Langlade use a very old fiberflex from the 80th + avalon I think.

Very closed race with 4 french riders in half second on this big giant.
I can't wait my revenge in La Garoupe!!
Congratulation to Vinzzz who become better and better after each race. Take care all the pro guy! Vinzzz leave the am class at the end of the year to compete with pro!

Really nice and long slope. The course was fast.
I ride my Custom Pavel Giant board, with RTX 129 front truck, OS airflow rear truck and Avallon wheels (82A and 75A because I didn't have any duro between)

It's late but here's some pictures:
