Great!
It will rock for sure with GOG!

Here are the plans:
Long parallel special slalom (if we can we'd like to have an hybrid special/giant at the end )
in the Bois de Boulogne
but we canl change the spot depending of the weather conditions

You can arrive at 10h30 (parisian nights are not favorable to sleep, ask the brits)
Qualifications should begin at 11h30

On saturday, if you're in mood for skatepark we can go to Vitry (www.rollerparc.com) al together.

I've worked at bit on the site, still a lot to do (mostly in french for the moment):

Yesss!

If the weatherforecast is promising, a carload of GOG-members will invade.
What about arriving at saturday night? Anybody in Paris who could host us, please?
It`s all about a low budget trip, you know. We pay with german beer.

Looks like the 'Ladies from the Bois du Boulogne' have been slalom fans for years.

Here's their poster for the 1945 'Resistance Race:' Image

Even then, slalom was an underground movement. This is why the cone symbol was duplicitously depicted as a ray of light.
However, local behaviour has improved.
No longer are scantily-clad elfin pixies kept under every cone.

Perhaps regular criddling forced the tiny beauties to seek alternative employment.

Have a great race ladies and gents!

You probably didn't forget that the next parisian Pirate Slalom Race will happend next sunday : 6th of November at 10:30
Spot: in the Bois de Boulogne - Route de la Vierge au Berceau (check the website for map and informations)
If the weather forecast is bad the day before, we'll give a new meeting point on Saturday evening (check email and forums Riderz.net and SlalomSkateBoarder.com)

Some special pirate tshirts will be available at the race. Killer design to show your parisian "pirate attitude" ;)
Limited offer!!!
Race participation: 3 euros for registration only - 12 euros for registration with an original tshirt

ConeRacing (http://www.coneRacing.com) test boards will be available if you don't have your own stuff.
Some german racers should come including Donald from Pavel Skateboards, so you will probably have the chance to discover some new Pavel slalom and pool models (http://www.pavel-skates.com)

To keep you informed, the Pirate Slalom website is evolving every week.
If you didn't participate to the first race, you can now register for the next race and see the the registered racers list.

It looks like nobody (EDIT: only a few people were) was wearing a helmet, why?

Seems like it isn't required to wear helmets on basic events...

False!
During racin everybody was to wear an helmet when I was at the start (the first run). After probably two german bad boys didn't!
We asked for, but the guy who helped at the start had a lot to do and didn't noticed...
But it was compulsory.. perhaps I should be first finally ;) just jokin'

But true that before, we were a lot to warm up quickly without heltmet, and most of this pictures are from the warm up.

hell yeah, ramon at any outlaw race nothing is mandatory-never forget the meaning of"outlaw".
therefore we came to the following conclusions on our way home:
the race we will hold on the 27th will just be the start of a triple-series race event.
concurring with david hackett we will make sure that this race is an nla race(no lycra allowed)
i have to add that our races will also be nba(no boady armor),nbha(no bicycle-helmets allowed).maybe the americans will pick up these very good add-ons for their next races.

to keep up the stoke the grand prize for the three events(at least three)will be an afternoon with the pavel guys in a burger king restaurant.free meals courtesy of pavel.also we will donate as a special prize an adult magazine,if the winner is under 18 years of age he will receive a signed mickey mouse book.

that sounds good eh?

Yes Ramon I wasn´t wearing an helmet because it´s my own decission. I hate a helmet and I wear it only when I must wear it. Nearly everybody had an helmet on and most of the pics were made during practice...

Nice event, nice place nice bottle of duvel!!!! Thanks Vincent.

Ah Donald what do you think about an nka Event "No Klappspaaten allowed"

heiko had a new wig,i had freshly colored hair
we are too sexy for the rest of the world.
the race-promoter ,a sexy clad on his own,has been seen without helmet too.
i immediately stopped him after having seen what he did and he was very ashamed about
his very very bad behaviour.
he broke out in tears and promised never to skate without a nutshell again.
but-aren't we all too sexy?

No body armour ?
during the first Paris outlaw i fucked up my foot breaking twice in a row at the bottom of the Trocadero (this competing thing does strange changes to my behaviour) and without the Dainese protections, particularly the lateral protections of the crashpad, i would have left in an ambulance.
And without crashpad last thursday VinZzz would have missed the race sunday...

How's Dominik's wrist ?

Hey French Pirates,

thank You all for sharing a great day of competition with us.
Nice weather, nice city, nice forest, nice slope, nice asphalt, nice girls (and boys)!
What else to ask for?

"Très sympha" to race with You. Merci.

A bientot à Cologne!

Steve

Big thanx to Donald for driving us 10 hours in one day !

Ramon, I will knock my head heavily against a wall as punishment for not always wearing a helmet, o.k.?

Don't search for excuses!
You have to learn to race with hang over. Who didn't??
My hip is still painful from a fall, got an otitis and was at a birthday party with local specialities the night before.
Do I complain?
