Better you practise Ramp Skating for our Slalom Race.
You will wonder, for sure.
If we do the giant course, we will have the whole Street (and the huge starting ramp)

For tight and special it´s the same as this year

o.k., o.k. we built up the miniramp, close to the race track.
let`s have fun in june. lots of spectators are guaranteed.

whats about a free shuttle from paris to hannover?

Why wouldn't you use the wood to make a nice freestyle area? Donald could show us what he means by gay freestyle manoeuvres.

Some hardcore freestyler...

freestyle

by Detlef Rehbock
hey jean paul,
you were not in hannover last year. otherwise you wouldn`t ask for wood freestyle area.
we have so many space and perfect surface for freestyle here.
but, what`s about a freestyle session a la paris 2004 in the flat of the miniramp.
the measures of these area are 6 by 3 meters.

But don't forget what your team manager thinks about freestyle:

"freestyling is gay alavoine-so why support it?" with or without fence...within, without.

ahhhh now i see why popoloko is in such a sad mode.
he DID NOT understand the sarcasm of that remark i must have made somewhere in another thread.
listen alavoine:since i did lots of freestyle in my early years and also was a very good freestyler(76-81) i always have an open ear when it comes to freestyle.
as a matter of fact freestyle has very gay moments to it as i see it now,but that's a different point of view.this feeling of "gayness" either comes by the approach of certain people or by certain tricks which nobody ever really needs.
you also did not seem to understand heiko's joke either.
what i find really gay is the annoying way you have of reminding people that you are a freestyler, that's a fact.
i do have tons of respect for the humbler folks who do not smear it on their bread each day, there are a few out there, most of them are friends of me,i doubt that we will ever have the same level.
you would definitely get more respect from my side with a different approach.
your hints towards your love of freestyle-skateboarding are more than boring.

i would be a bit more careful with calling people out because of misunderstanding/misinterpretation of remarks being made by the aforementioned persons(i.e. me or heiko).
calling me a manager is one of the best jokes i ever heard.

it would be better for you to polish up your english skills so that this doesn't happen to you in the future again.

skateboarding is gay

Posted: Tue Jan 10, 2006 3:54 am
by Detlef Rehbock
in the past everything in skateboard was gay. this is what most skateboarders think today. do tricks that are respected by the others. wear clothes that are respected by the others. for me this is gay. we started with a new sport and created so many things. highjump, slalom, freestyle, vert and .....street.

skateboard was my life in the 80`s. i love all the tricks that i have learned in this time. but skateboarding continues, so if you see things from the past with the view from today, a lot of things look like gay. i don`t do that. i keep my memories to the 80`s

we learned pogo with two hands on a wall(o.k. that was gay)

news from hannover

by Detlef Rehbock
O.K. we have some new informations. The Contest will be on the same road as last year. I think we don´t use the website, because it´s money that we don´t have.
at the moment, we have only coca cola as a sponsor. by the way, thanks to coca cola for big support in last year and this year.

for accomodation we have special rates in the mercure hotel close to the race track. when you book there, just say you compete in the world cup at the expo sommerfest.
another, very cheap option is the expo camp on the contest area. you can sleep there in big tents, bring your own tent etc. it´s cheap and you get food and it´s a secured area. for a shower you have to ask skaters from the hotel, you know what i mean.

there will be lots of music on different stages. we have some fabulous bands, but i think only the germans know them. here is the playlist.

Ronan Keaton
Sasha
German Superstars Tobias Regner and Mike Leon Grosch
Revolverheld
Sportfreunde Stiller
Madsen

But, there will be a Stage very close to our Startramp. And there will be a nice band from the Guys that helped last Year as Conejudges. Do you remember them?
So we will have Live Music for the Finals.
Cool?

We are working on more.

By the way, are there some Sponsors from the Skate Business. everything helps.
Heiko from Concrete Wave will help with some Stuff
Jani will help too.
Somebody else?

Fred, I wanted to have a good night sleep in the hotel and YOU insisted on driving during the whole night. You got what you wanted. I suggest I get to decide this year.

I prefer people to work when they're in the office. Sleeping is an activity which is supposed to happen during the night. That's how society works. Trying to object to that rule has its consequences.

shuttle

Posted: Wed Mar 29, 2006 1:53 pm
by Detlef Rehbock
hello frederic,

the idea of the shuttle was a one way shuttle, so people from the states can plan there trip to europe. for example. if they are interested to compete in more than one event, they will travel to paris, shuttle to hannover and maybe to grüningen and then fly back to the states.

dan gesmer will travel from paris to hannover, so we will give him a ride that he can lower the cost for travelling.

for the shuttle we ask vw. sometimes they do that with their cars. but the said no for this season. so at the moment we are not sure. who is interested in a shuttle from paris to hannover? (just one way)

we try our best

And, by the way. Thank you Donald for supporting our Event

Jani, I sometimes have to work, when others sleep... ( and I don't feel guilty to sleep during others work ! ;) )

Anyway, I had an excellent WE at Hannover, organization was perfect despite of the rain ( and the scary-way-back to Paris ). I wish I could make the travel again...

Thanks Det' for the informations !

Detlef, Mary-Beth and I plan on attending the event and so far it looks like we may be getting in with Donald. We are seasrching for round-trip fares as we have had our Paris hotel booked for a while.

We are planning on going to Uster, Paris and Hanover if it is affordable as cash will be tight. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again.
