It's been known for a while by French riders (through www.Riderz.net and a post in the French forum on this site) but I thought it was time that it was announced here as well.

Organized by the timing partners of Paris Slalom World Cup 2006. This will be the first event in Lyon, preparing for bigger events in the future.

ConeRacing.com is providing the timing equipment and may even have a small shop on site.

Any further information (disciplines etc.) on hand?

of course it is open for everybody !

- non-french riders will only race for ISSA points
- french will race for ISSA points AND French Championship (just like Paris World Cup)

It's open for everyone, just like other parts of the French Championships (Trocadero, StGermain - next weekend and the finals in Antibes).

There is not much other information available (as far as I know). I'll try to keep you informed.

Jani, there was a change in the date of the event, it will stand the saturday, the 9th.
Because of the organization of a downhill outlaw session the sunday...

It will be the fourth race of our championship, the Cow Boy Road 2006 is a slalom race too, in august.

The race is organized by l'association lyonnaise de longboard with Frédéric Reveillard, i spoke to him yesterday and i announce that registrations will open next week, coming with some informations too !

And i confirm that it will be opened for foreigners riders !

You're kidding, but in the regulation we should always have a slope, even for slalom ! :-)

For Lyon, the slope is not far from 3%...

No trains that arrive 0900 in Lyon. It's the connections that don't go with each other.

Les resultats de Lyon
Patrick Allan nous a atomisé!

this race count for the french championship but was open to all. Not a lot of people but a very close level.
Allan largly dominate the 2 races putting some incredible time in special. Nice place, nice weither, nice people. Everythink ok except that :
Swiss guy Fabrice Andre has a big crash when the start ramp has broken uder his board.
Fortunatly. Only a visit to the hospital and a finger broken. have a look to the film of marcus and look at the ramp!!!

Despite what you can read, I woke up at 5h45 to take my train to Lyon (my flatmate is witness), my bags were ready to go
but I was so bad that I decide not to go - I was probably ill because of something I ate and was so tired that no way I could skate or even stand the train trip.
So I stayed at home... :(
a shame because I really wanted to go to support the guys from Lyon Politic Activists Longboards "PLA" crew and Association Longboard de Lyon (ALL)
Great work guys, I would have like to come.
Thank you for your commitment!

Bravo Faba too that beat David, Jean Seb and Guillaume in the Giant, take some rest and heal quickly!

HOLY CRAP! Look at that ramp! What did I tell you about building ramps out of construction paper and balsa wood?

Nice job Patrick- I remember racing you at the worlds, me on my 36 foam PPS with splitfires and Patrick on his wood insect deck with stock trackers-- absolutely cooking me down the course.

I just checked my school schedule and for the first time (my first year in college) I'm not in school during most of may so I'll try to make Paris next year.
