minor errors
Not that it matters really, but there are (at least) two errors in the parallel spreadsheet.
1. In the round of 8, (second run) Mikka was ahead of me over the finish line.
2. In the round of 4, (second run) I was ahead of Petr over the finish line.
Same outcome though.

Thanks to Gints and the team for some excellent racing in Jurmala. With the beach and promenaders close to hand it's very difficult to concentrate on the racing.
Still, we didn't want to disappoint the fans:

Think we're all impressed by Rubber Man Mattias:
Marcus and Hans seemed to do astonishly well in all of the skate challenges too:

And then there was the slalom!
Thank again for the prizes and the occasion. Here's the snaps: http://www.flickr.com/photos/samg/sets/ ... 869610250/
Sam
P.S. Hangover lasted three days!
But enough of that. Here's more promo girls:

Re: Thanks for Riga
I agree paul, it was my first comp. in high jump. before i have just jumped over small obstacles in streetskatingPaul Price wrote:The high jump was a lot of fun - someone must post the winners story!
Edzuz told in the competition that his personal record was 1.47!(back in 1994) so i got a little nervous, since he had practiced it for 20 years or something. but on on 133cm he didnt made the landning in his last jump, i made 135 i my first try so i won:)
it was really an experience to ride that (clumsy) high jump board. just a regular plank about 1m long. the landnings was'nt to easy...
but i think my highjump carrer will be short, its so odd, and almost no competitions at all!

Thanks for Riga
Another fast contest - in the best location. Nice to see everyone again, and some talented new slalom racers. The spectators were quite talented too, as you can see from the photos.
The high jump was a lot of fun - someone must post the winners story!
Here are some photos - taken by the English lads

Gotta try to build some slalom scene here in Finland. It won't be an easy task. Currently I know only 3 guys who have slalom boards. But I hope some day we're able to put a race in Helsinki and to invite all you guys in...
BTW: My friend was filming both days. Expect to see some video link here sooner or later.
See you soon!

so great week end.
Many thanks of course to the Latvian team for putting on the race
And thank you all, I really had great time meeting all of you! It was really friendly , and Latvia is such a beautiful country...hum not really see the country but see some so wonderful girls
And I did my first podium ... so cool.
I must agree : Swedish team is really kicking asses, and also in beach soccer !
Only bad thing for me, my airplane company loose my luggage, with my skateboards and my second place trophy
Hope I will get it back.
Anyway, I will be in Jurmala next year, and hope to see you all in Grenoble!

Thank you!
Thank you Gints and the whole Latvian crew for putting on a world class event!
It was great to meet all riders and hang out in the friendly wibe that surrounds Jurmala! I'm sorry I took of kind of quickly but there was a flight to catch...
Anyways, the special was the tightest ever, this far. Hopefully it won't get any tighter cause then I gotta get myself some rollerblades... I'm super stoked that I managed to survive that course, and also that I improved my personal best in highjump from 40cm to 110cm...
Most of all I'm happy that I was lucky enough to got a second chance battling GÖTIS in the final and pulling it off. Team Sweden is stronger than ever, something Götis proved when he denied the Latvian Lightning a place in the final.
Finnaly I would like to say congrats to Mattias for his insane 135cm in his first highjump ever. Did anyone say talent?
Thanks!
