well done guys!
It was indeed a funny session, I enjoyed being there very much. The ramp was great!!! The distance between the ramp, the timer and the cones was also "great"
Well, we had music, plenty stuff to drink, lotsa smoka, good weather, happy faces and a boring special course, built by karl, on a kinda rough surface! All commanded by the one and only Flavio Badenes, who organized well, fast and easy, to also take some time to let his charming humour have a go!!! Just like every other skater who has been there. Nice meeting all of you

Thanks Flavio and crew to pull it off.
I would love to see more happening in that area, I know me and the gogs will be there for sure! I hope I can finish some pics tonight. I'm packing for tomorrow.....gotta GO!
See you!!!

We had a good practise morning. A little rain but nothing major and warm.
The tight salom was set at 2,00 mts and proved to be a challenging one due to the steepness of the hill.
We are using the Windmill to take off for the special slalom. Karl set a good course and everybody was trying their best.
Tomorrow we are starting at 10 AM with Special and doing tight in the afternoon.

This camping place is near by the site, it has very good beds and it is super cheap and clean. They also rent out tents. From there to the site you can take public transportation. 15 minute ride. You will stay in the middle of the Forest of Amsterdam. Please leave the mushrooms alone, if you want to skate the next day.
http://www.campingamsterdamsebos.nl (they have information in all languages, just click on your flag)
Next year I will make it possible to camp on the event site, it is a little bit too late for this year though...

I have just learned that local TV RTVNL will cover the event, some Dutch newspapers too.

Vinzz,
That hostel is fully booked. If you guys are two skaters, bring your sleeping bags and crash in my place.
If you still want to find a cheap hostel please go to our website and click on info.
regarding the board:
I have not yet decided what the course is really going to be like, that is depending on how many pros I have on the day. I would say that we will not set a course shorter than 1,90.
You can reach me at :
+31(0)614907850
Acctually everybody that is coming to Amsterdam should write down this number.
See you here

Travelling with one board and a willingness to sleep anywhere is how I've gotten through Paris, Hannover, Berlin and gonna shoot for Amsterdam. hehehe

Having contest each weekend is not so cool... I still hope to come but that's not so easy.
Finally nobody got little space to sleep for two skaters and discover the city with indigenous?
if not, we envisage to sleep at Hans Brinker ... is it a good idea?
http://www.hans-brinker.com/
About board, I'll have to be ligth so I can't bring all I want
so I wonder what kind of slalom you wanna set?
Wanna go tight or stay quite wide?
I could take my special/giant board only or my tight board if you think about 1m90 or less (including Pro course if you still plan one)

for those without a campsite
http://www.campingamsterdamsebos.nl
it's cheap and even rents out beds for the night.
Tram goes from there to the contest site in about halfe an hour. And nightbusses come from the city center all night long.
Tent is 5€ per person, 3€ for a small tent (up to 2 persons) and 5€ for a big tent.
I'll be there on friday

No not really, we will have a introduction day for the begginers on Saturday until about 14:00 then after that we have to hand out the course to the cyclists, they will have a race there.
We will have a freestyle demo Saturday afternoon with Yoyo and friends and we can also go to the half pipe and to the city afterwards.
On Sunday we will hold tight and special events for the PROs and the AMs
Yes, there will be lots of Freestylers present......more than 10 I guess.

Due to what could have become a logistic nightmare, we decided not to have the GS in Amsterdam, at least for this first year. Moving everybody to the GS place turned out to be an activity we though would be better off left for the next time. sorry
