It was good to meet you at the race the other week Jonathan, hope to see you at another one soon, maybe in the States who knows?
Great pictures too, a good pictoral diary of your trip.

More photos, you say? Here's one.
The other 300+ photos from my trip are online at
http://picasaweb.google.com/jbh123/Germ ... dApril2009# . I haven't had time to put captions on them yet. At the tunnel race I really only took photos of the Open racers, and except for Gustavs, Pelle and a couple of others, I don't know many of their names. So if anyone wants to "tag" the photos, please go ahead.
There aren't THAT many actual racing photos, but I did get some good shots of the junior racers at the GS hill, which I hope the kids and their parents will enjoy.

Big thanks for all the organizers, it was my first time in Switzerland and I have very good impressions!
It was nice to see also North Americans competing in Europe! I was a little bit surprised about ''161'' performance ( in good way) but in general it was a perfect way to start the international season!
PS - Was it the first victory for Pappas in Europe (outlaw GS)?

Just as a point of historical interest, the cone penalty on the Am GS PDF is set at 0.1 seconds, where on the day the penalty was 0.2 seconds per cone. This puts me above Silvio, where infact, he beat me.
What a great event of both city and country, industry and pastoral, commercial and domestic. From the generosity of Ramon's folks for hosting a bunch of strangers to the organisation and smooth running of the tunnel race, this was a spectacular and memorable event. I'd've loved the cut to have gone to the top 16, but that just gives me a personal lesson to skate harder.
Thanks Chris, Ramon and the Swiss organisational team!

Well Pelle, we did try to knobble you by giving you a dead leg in the 'Pappas Challenge:'

I'll just repeat whats already been said; THANK you for a fantastic weekend and a super race! I'm amazed by Ramon that you could keep focused and win both races in the tunnel while organizing - way to go!
The sunday was super with the most chilled wibe on a Swiss hill and almost unlimited number of GS runs while being coached by the fastest GS racers of today. Could it be any better? A few beers in Ramons backyard with almost every racer proved it could. Why don't we do this more often?
Dominik you are my hero. I gotta shape up so that I don't die from a heartattack during the next race if we get to race again. I better stop writing before I go all gay here and start telling you that I love you all. Anyways hope to see you all soon (less than three years that is - JBH)!
