I also would like to thank the Dutch Crew for a very nice event! I know there were some difficulties last year, which maybe was the reason why only so few racers came, or the bad weather? Don´t know.
I know for sure that this was an excellent event, which could have taken more racers easily. Timing went very smooth (Thanks BART!), courses were super fast and fun, food was awesome and everything was just taken under a "easy vibe".oh...the trophies are really nice too, hihi thank you!!! and before I forget!!! Check those starting ramps!!! There were the best I have seen in a long time!!! Awesome job!
Great to see racers from last year improving so much! Especially MR.ERnst! wow!
The night race was super! I will never forget that!
I had a great time, and I would love to come next year!
Everyone who is shooting for a great time, be there....those who create bad vibes...please stay at home! hehe...
thanks again for this event!
see you in two weeks I hope!!

What a great week-end in beautiful AMSTERDAM!
I was a bit surprised that so few people came.. but if you didn't - you did miss a nice event.
Everything was there for a good race... only the rain did troubles but even with uncertain weather we could nearly respect the daily schedule, even on the rainy Saturday thanks to the big lighting system.
Big bravo and thanks to Flavio and the Dutch crew, nice vibes and nice race!
There's a real slalom scene growing there thanks to theses guys, take care of dutch racers for the future!!!

What a great time I had.
After months of hard work it paid off.
I would like to thank the Dutch Crew: Wouter, Ernst, Bart, Paul, Jeroen, Cyril, Mike and the best announcer ever, Toot. You were all great, I feel now that we are much more than just a Crew.
Also thanks to our sponsors:
RED BULL, CONCRETE WAVE MAG, SICKBOARDS, SKATESTORE, RODOLFO"S, KHIRO and THE CITY OF AMSTERDAM
Then thanks to the riders that showed up you are all very special to me.
Congratulations to the winners. Dominik was flying again, Chris was also super fast, Petr, the happiest father in the world, also showed great form. Thank you for bringing Daniel over, your baby brought light to our contest.
Ernst you did it, congratulations deep from my hart for the 3 podiums and especially for the first place in the TS. I have no words to say how happy I am with it. Brilliant!
All the girls and the brave kids that raced, congratulations too.
We will post the pictures soon.

On behalf of the kids I brought along I want to thank everbody who was involved in organizing this contest. Thanks to the riders who had the patience to wait for all the cones to be put in place again and thanks to the sponsors for providing the nice goodiebags.
Because of school, my son, daughter and daughters friend, could only join the competition on Saturday and Sunday. Although the course was too difficult for them, they enjoyed their first international competition.
As a father it was a joy to see their anxiousness to perform well.
Saturday night will be a night to remember for them. Slalom skateboarding in the dark with the floodlights on the course was something special and will be talked about for a long time.
The Sunday race, with the special course for the kids and the girls, will be remembered.
Funny thing is that the kids complained about the difficulty of the special and the hybrid course, but they complained about the special course aswell. This was much too easy. So you see they are like real skaters already...
I promised to bring them to more races, so this means I have to train myself to stay ahead. But I doubt if this will help. They are advancing more and getting better each time.

We finished the special slalom today and what a great race. We started after the bicicles and rain at 4:45 PM and went through the evening with great skateboarding.
Dominik took first place followed by Christophe and Vincent, then the first AM was Chris from Berlin followed by Petr from CZ and Ernst NL
Under a bright full moon we gave the prizes for the TS and the Sp. We gave money to the first 3 PRO and goodies to the first 3 AMS. That made Erst the number one AM rider in TS
Tomorrow we go ahead with HS in what is expect to be a sunny day.
We have all had a great time so far.
More tomorrow...
@Jani yes I also think Ernst is a great promise for Dutch skateboarding but he is not the only one Rob G raced for the first time and cause a very good impression as well.

2nd Christopher Baumann (D)
3rd Ernst van der Boom (NL)
4th Vincent Berruchon (F)
full results will be posted tomorrow.
The weather was good and allowed us to race to whole afternoon.
Tomorrow we will go ahead with the special. The course is great.
Also the HS course has already been marked.

Petr Novotny, Jiri Wiche and Eva Wicheova our friends from the Check Republic are comfortably installed at the Sport Park, there is even a beautiful full moon shining now. Oh yeah and their little 8 month old baby Daniel is here as well. What a great start.
The lights have been installed.
Tomorrow we are setting up the riders rest area early in the morning and finishing up the setup.
We will start around 10 AM.
Ernst build these start ramps with little steps that allow you to climb up the ramps without using your hands and we painted one bright orange and the other bright green. Oh yeah they glow in the dark too.
Good night.

In the case of rain we will go to the Amsterdam Skatepark and race in there. It is flat but it will give us a chance to go ahead with the race.
There is also a remote possibility that we will use a "under construction" tunnel in Utrecht, but the we still have not had a go ahead from the government. We will have a definitive answer this afternoon.
