MB got some sick footage. I would love to get a copy of her tape for the archives. Leo, is there anywhere we can meet this week? Maybe lunch in NC? If not, I'll drop the news off at your casa before Thursday. I'll be in Norwalk tomorrow around 3pm.
Adam, A fast GS would work as long as we don't encounter a similar moisture problem as last year. Recall TK's killer GS...I saw several folks go down with numerous 4 wheel drifts. It was a shame we had to pick it up and move down to the sissy hill. Keep your fingers crossed.
Your Turner sounds sweet. I have a British Racing Green NN that I will never part with. It too is tricked out with Shaggyized fulltracks and OJ's.

Thanks. The vid keeps the memories alive and a smile on my face. With Leo's permission, I'd like to add his pics to the end of the vid then render it to DVD. Fatboy, you'll get the first copy along with your extention cord and a few other misc. items. Leo, I also found a socket wrench. I'll post a pic in the farm lost and found section later.
Adam,
I really want to do the Ball Mt. Dam gig again. I know Joe has tried to contact PSR to get permission from Ranger Rick. If it does go down, it looks like it will the first or second weekend in Oct. I'll keep ya posted.
I also would like to make the festival in NH. I'm waiting for clearance from the wife. I do agree with Karl in that as many people should be able to sign up but only the top 36 make the field. With time an issue, they may have to run single elims.
No sleep till Brooklyn...

Thanks again to all who came and made this a very special event. Also a SPECIAL thanks to all the sponsors that donated swag...Bulldog Skates, Z-Boy, Tracker, Pocket Pistol, Longboards by Fatboy, CHIxILL, Mile High Skates, Skaterbuilt, Split Fire, 888, ISSA, Boars Head, Concrete Wave, Seismic, Kebbek, Sk8 Park of Ottawa and Custom Designs by Joy.
I'd also like to thank TK for setting 2 awesome courses. I think his stoke has been rekindled so maybe next year we'll have another 2 day affair.
Above all...thanks to Laura and Bob for devoting their entire weekend to help run this event. I have no idea what we'd have done w/o you guys.
Peace out,
Tway

I AM STILL FEELING THE FARM BUZZ!!!
To the Kebbekois
Mig, bro, you killed it this weekend. We're all super proud of you. That recovery was UN-FREAKIN-REAL. Enjoy your deck, you earned it! FROMAGE!!!!
Julie, your pics are awesome! Thanks for the kind words and just always being so so so friendly and positive. Dan you're the coolest drunk I've ever met. I will follow your advice and keep smiling.
Pierre, always a pleasure to pick your brain and learn from you. I hope you end up making it out to Toronto for a couple days! Thank you for the advice and the praise, it will keep me focused on my goals.
Rookie, I never really hung out with you before, but I'm glad I did. You're a really chill guy, I look forward to skating with you again.
To all the race organizers:
You should all be so psyched that we're all still REELING from the sheer awesomeness of the race. We owe you a huge thanks!!! I had a dream last night that I was carving around cones on shady lane, and I don't need to tell you I woke up smiling. Thank you for that!!!

And here are Julie's pics http://www.hatem.ca/julie which include our 2 pitstops at Curtis BBQ in Vermont (Thanks Joe I, that was the best suggestion ever!).

Gonna buy 5 copies for my mother....
Leo you did it...the cover of the Lewisboro Ledger in color no less.
The paper only recently started prining color.
Killer pic of Patrick Switzer flyin' down Shady
and a sick pic of the old man in B/W on page 17. THANKS!!!!

With your permission, I'd like to use the pic of the fire pit for the cover of the DVD...
which is just about done except I'm heading for Ohio today for the next 5 days.
I'll post it up late next week. This one is hard to keep short.
Right now I'm at 17 minutes and still have the vintage and the party to go.
Thanks again to everyone who came.
For me it was one of the best farms to date. The course setting was stellar.
I especially love the reaction of all the first time farmers.
Hell maybe we'll do another 2 dayer....stay tuned.

Well I've finally gotten home and now it's time for my "What I learned" post as well as my/our thank you's.
First off a HUGE thanks to Joe & Kate, The Tway Family, Mrs. D, Rob & Lisa and the Fatman himself for offering up their homes to give us a place to crash. We'd be poorer and smell worse without your hospitality.
Another huge thanks to the race organizers for putting on, and pulling this event off without a hitch.
And a special thanks to Dave Pirnack for the coaching and inspiration. Your the man Dave!
Other thanks go out to:
- Nick for tending Bar (Keep pourin' em strong Nicky!)
- Rob Sydia for getting me into this
- Leo for taking pictures
- Nicky for being Nicky
- Sassy for taking pics and cracking us up
- Destiny and Scooter for driving and providing directions to make sure we got back to Canuckistan in one piece
- Finner for being hit by a snowplow
- Anthony and Tyler for the unrelenting dick and fart jokes
My memorable moments and thoughts of the entire weekend/our vacation:
- Daniello + Alcohol = Johnny Hug Monkey. You rule Daniello "FULL BAG DUDE!"
- Marion is the coolest scary looking guy I've ever met
- Joe I does a mean "Folson Prison Blues" cover
- Fatty sings the best Gun's and Roses harmonies and plays the stand-up bass like an animal
- Pirnack could open his own Pottery Barn
- Scooter was in Devo
- CNova is not the guy you want as a wingman if your ever trying to sneak into anywhere with a guy snoring so loud it sounds like he's swallowing his tongue.
- The Farm has the best Mexican food north of the Tijuana Border
- Fatboy doesn't mess around when it comes to Italian Pastries
- Fatboy does also not mess around when it comes to falling in the garbage juice lane of Broadway in NYC
- Skating pool for the first time rocks!!!
- If push comes to shove Jersey folk are willing to sue elevator companies about weight restrictions.
- My girlfriend can bail like a champ and come up smiling
- The Quebec/Kebbek crew are the coolest people ever!
- Absynte goes down like a mix of paint thinner and cheap mouthwash
- Julie loves Pocket Pistols
- Leo for giving me someone to gun for next year
- John Gilmore has an extra frontal lobe in his brain that houses skate and turtle knowledge.
- Given the correct variables if you go for a pee in the bushes at Tways a homosexual hummingbird will appear and try and land on your pecker
Thank you to everyone from Lisa and myself (I'm sure we forgot to thank someone). We've been grinning ear to ear for the past few days and can't wait for next year.
Much Love,
~TG

Congrats of pulling off another great race dudes. My plan was to be there, Joe I had disscussed my arrival and departure, prior to the contest and what vintage board I was going to ride. Then my knee went out. I plan to be there next year. Congrats to DP and my friends from the Great White North. Wish I could have been there. Your Amigo Eddy TEXAS OUTLAWS
