I'll come out and join you for the fishing. I've got to see this new site. M<aybe i'll spend a day or two flying stores to see if we can get anything going. I was thinking of a photo and some tear strips at the bottom with website info.

I certainly hope the fine folks here recognize a southern colloquialism when they hear it. If not, I'm screwed....cause it's like...ummm...all I know man...

uh huh, a mess is mor'n enough to fill me and the youngun's bellies, but still a right smart less'n a shitload.

Wonder how many people here have even heard of a weakfish.

Thanks for a "Jersey Shore" flashback.

Shitload is a universal measure that varies greatly.

A shitload of clams is MUCH smaller than a shitload of firewood. ;)

I understand perfectly.
And for you who don't.....a "mess" is just slightly less than half a "shitload".
And, another thing... I happened to catch a mess of Weakfish this morning.
Sweet.

No cones yet though. I had some time after work today but of course the beautiful day we had turned to shit just about quitting time.

God is cruel.

Ummmm, Tom?

There are maybe five or six people perusing this website who understand the colloquial and subtle nuance of a "mess" of catfish.

It's not rain holding me back but lack of time and more importantly, motivation.
And now the Stripers are in and once again I'm obsessed with catching as many f*cking fish as humanly possible.

C'mon out Captian America.
We'll trick out your wheelchair and you'll be running cones in no time.
And, there's a very nice 6' blond I know who (I'm sure), would make an excellent nurse.

No Slalom again.
I did think about it though.

Luna was cool. Very cool.
Too bad I got my ass handed to me.

Racing is not fun when you lose.
Setting up cones and skating by yourself is not fun either.

You see how that works??
Catch 22.

Training tonight.

Happy hour.

Can't do the Southern Comfort though. (Yeaaaak).
Wild Turkey substitute.

No slalom. Rain.

No slalom. Pain.

"The Natural" ran cones this morning.
He was supposed to be working.
He's on a mission I think.
Too bad he was working for me.

I found my cones.
I also found "The Natural".

He will be making his debut at a future race and my prediction is that he will KICK YOUR ASS.
I'm pretty confident of this.

He already looks like he's been racing for a while and it was his FIRST TIME!

I however, suck.
Between my busted shoulder and recently missing appendix I'm out.

Luna is a vacation for me.

I am preparing for Luna by doing shots of Southern Comfort and watching "Oh Brother, Where art thou".
I'm also hoping that the weather will warm up so that I can sit on my front porch swatting fly's and wipe the sweat off my forhead and neck with my handkerchief while sipping disgustingly sweet tea.

"Lawdy, lawdy, I reckon it's some kind o hot outchear."

Yes, my friends. Slalom is alive and well in Long Island, NY.

Day 2.

I cannot find my cones.

No thunderbolts. No lightning but still very, very frightening.

Luna looms.
