I certainly wish to thank Gary (Victoria, Julius, John, et al) for putting on this summer's Midtown Race Series. It was a great opportunity to race in my neighborhood and not have to travel across the globe to run a few cones. It great to see that Gary and the crew still have the stoke and I always look forward to skating with you guys. Eventhough I missed a few races, thanks again for the series this year.

Shoreline 100 Cone Wiggle Fest
We had a gathering here in NorCal today to try the 100 Cone Challenge.
Here are the rules we established:
100 cones, 6' on center...unlimited push....tape switch set just before the 1st cone and just after the last. Trak Mate timer. 10 Cones = DQ,
.2 penalty per cone.
The course has a slight downhill then uphill, then downhill then uphill, then downhill, and the whole run sloped slightly to the right. Also, somewhere near the 70 cone mark we had a slight seam that was right on the fall line..this made for a weird pull to the right.
Results:1st Place Gary Holl, Sponsors: RoeRacing, 3dm, ProDesigned, Etnies, Seismic
24.104+4 cones or 24.901
2nd Place Mike Maysey, Sponsors: Turner, 3dm, ProDesigned, Etnies, A42, Tracker
25.297+5 cones or 26.297
3rd Place John "JR" Ravitch,Sponsors: Comet Bomb Squad
27.669 +7 cones or 29.069
4th Place John "sweet spot" Kim, Riding a Turner
27.687 + 9 cones or 29.487
5th Place Julius "Orange Julius" Pleshakov riding a Turner
30.554 + 7 cones or 31.954
6th Place Vance "I'm digging my new Turner" Prather, Riding a Turner
31.405 +8 cones or 33.005
7th Place Bill Evans, Riding a Turner
50.979 Clean...nice very nice.
8th Place "HC", riding a custom cut down "HC Whacky Board".
Although he never finished the course he had several
ripping runs...one run he was clean to about the 70 cone
mark and then he just slammed on his knees and elbow.
Hutson, Judi, Miko.....we missed you guys....where was the rest of the Bomb Squad?
Special Thanks to Julius and John K. for setting a perfect course and for helping cram cones on the sprinklers that began dumping water on the course during the early mornig set up.

Gary -- you can use my e-mail (probably safer since I'm the "calendar monitor". . .) There isn't an e-mail link for you here so just posting public for now. Thanks for holding a spot for Richy (360king@sk8kings.com)

Maria, be sure to let me know ahead of time because we are limiting the number of riders to 32, and we are hoping to keep this real low key as we don't have any permits and don't want lose any or our slalom spots. May I suggest you guys come up for one of the races at GGP...I know the two of you love the City.
