Antrim Race Scheduled for 9/19, 9/20, 9/21

Hi, Wes:
I just sent in the sanction app to Pat for Antrim's Race for the Old Gold Jug, asking for Main status. We expanded the race to a two-day race, and last year's crowd was about 2500 for the Saturday main event, prize money has been increased and the racers are having a good experience here. We'd be happy with Prime, but with the city support, good crowds and great press, it's our intention to make it one of the major races on the East Coast.

Just to get the ball rolling:
I plan on submitting an ISSA application for PRIME status for the Oregon State Games.
This will be on "GO SKATEBOARDING DAY"
Single Lane GS on Saturday June 21 at a steeper, longer hill in Portland Oregon (Mt Tabor Park)
Hybrid (head to head) and Single-Lane Parallel Tight Slalom (100 cone) on June 22 at Salem Soap Box Derby Hill.
Saturday June 21 at Mt Tabor park will also include a slide competition.
==============================================
This is my INTENT. No promises yet. We have had the Oregon State Games for 2 years in a row now.....
"Up for grabs"

Chris Barker, Eddy Martinez, and I will continue to be the N. American ISSA contest coordinators for 2008.
We learned a lot last year, the 1st year for a formal sanctioning process.
It will help us immensely if we were to have some idea of "advanced intentions" from the various contest coordinators, so that we don't prematurely award all of the high-status events when an application for a better one is just about to be submitted.
No race status is determined yet. No race sanction applications for N. America have been received.
[2008] East Coast Race (Again): What's Going To Happen?

Is this the year all the North American race statuses are up for grabs?
In 2006 we took a poll for East Coast racing.
In 2007 the organizers sort of agreed to trade statuses.
What happens this year? Are statuses up for grabs based on merit or are the organizers again discussing who wants and gets what?
The Sizzler is seven weeks away. It's time to get something going. I guess Kenny isn't doing the Buckeye this year. Is anyone else going to do the race in Columbus? Any other "traditional" races looking at taking a hiatus or is 2008 looking at another full slate? What about some of the "newer" races like Antrim, Berlin and the KFCF?
What's everybody wanting to do this year?
