Dan,
these are great except if you are into downhill as they don't register altitude change, so give an innaccurate reading on speed and distance. We used the A300 (skiing) version, but had heaps of trouble with the screens dying and had to refund everyone who bought one. We are now stocking the Garmin Forerunner/trac 201 which seems to be much more robust and much quicker than the wristwatch style Garmins.

OK, I'm not selling anything, but I thought you guys should know about this.
The Navman R300 is an armband GPS unit that can keep track of your distance traveled, average speed, max speed etc.
