Deck for fat newbie!

Post by Ron Barbagallo » Mon Aug 16, 2004 8:27 pm

Lookin' for a 30" or so, 8 or 9" wide, for a 240lb-er, known to sometimes finish on only 3!

Somethin' used, but with some miles left on it. Affordability is a giant plus!

Yes Sir, Unlimited she is!

I think right now, the 64-65mm size is pretty good for me, but then I should go for 70mm or so?

I just got like 40 new cones and will be hittin' the hills in a couple of weeks, got some vacation to take care of. But next year at the Farm, watch out! I may even FINISH a run!!!

Glad you like the deck, It is one of my favorite decks. I wish I could keep them in stock long enough to actually set one up for me.

sup fatboy,

this is simfucious, we met briefly at da farm and i was the one who received the other set of trucks from ohm. i just want to warn you a bit about the offset. i'm sure that stradas, stingers, and other such wheels that accept an 8mm spacer work well on the trucks, but the avalons are a sketchy fit. with a wheel that accepts a "standard" (i believe that it's 10mm) such as an avalon, the outer speed washer, closest to the nut, does not truly fit on the axle. i tried to line it up as good as possible, then i tightened the ish out of it. works well but is a little sketchy. just wanted to warn you so that you don't finish on 3, or 2 for that matter. skate safe dude.

Hey Christian!!

How you doin? Sure, I remember you from da Farm! You were in the "pits" next to Sassy and I. You took a nasty slam, heal up okay?

Yeah, I had to do some "creative spacering" myself to get them to work.

Thanks for the tips guys, you all rock!

I do like the Manx's, only because they come in 80's approved pink!

Hey Christian,

Sounds like you did well in Georgia, great news!!! I'm sure you'll be kickin' my double wide ass at the Farm next year. Maybe I'll FINISH a run by then. How did those new trucks work for ya'? I've yet to get out on mine, and probably won't for another couple of weeks.

fat boy thanks for the kind words dude. i'm not just coming for you, i'm looking to take everyone out haha. and no doubt that you'll finish at the farm, just practice practice practice ON 4 WHEELS. trucks are great, work like a dream. advice, go out every night for 10 minutes and just pump, preferably flatland or uphillm it works wonders. out for now, good luck dude!
