When I went to the first Morro Bay World Champs in 2001, like many people I was unsure whether this slalom resurgence was a “flash in the pan” or was here for good this time. I decided that I wanted a little keepsake no matter what happened.
So I went out and bought a G & S 43” Funshape and a sharpie and left it on a table near the sign-up sheets at the race registration.

Bob? BS?
Marley? (wishful thinking, but I don’t think Rasta Bob was there…),

Its such a cool keepsake to have, as there are so many famous names on there, some Legends already and some who no-one knew, but were destined to become household names (at least in slalom-aware households!).

I have also decided to sell it, but don't know whether to sell it here or on Ebay as I have no idea what its worth...
